Monkey D. Luffy refuses to let anyone or anything stand in the way of his quest to become King of All Pirates. With a course charted for the treacherous waters of the Grand Line, this is one captain who'll never drop anchor until he's claimed the greatest treasure on Earth: the Legendary One Piece! Along for the ride are his loyal crewmates, a wonderfully-bizarre collection of outcasts and misfits from the far corners of the world. Each member has their own special talent, and they'll utilize their skills to help Luffy achieve his dream! Together, the rubberman and his crew can conquer any challenge - or defeat any foe!
The action never stops in these episodes of One Piece, which conclude the "Water 7" and begin the "Enies Lobby" story arcs. Amid the rain, wind, and tsunamis of the Aqua Laguna storm, Luffy, Chopper, Zoro, and Nami frantically look for a way to rescue Robin, who left the city of Water 7 as a prisoner of the Cipher Police. Her destination is Enies Lobby, a World Government center where show trials condemn prisoners to dungeons, torture, and death. Unexpected help comes from Water 7 Mayor Iceberg and tipsy Granny Kokoro, who reveal the existence of Rocketman, a prototype seatrain that might be able to survive the storm and overtake the Puffing Tom. While the Straw Hats and the members of the Franky Family Gang set off in a train with no brakes and only minimal steering, Sanji tackles agents of the Cipher Police aboard the Puffing Tom. The battles are typically bizarre: even the Iron Chef has never witnessed a brawl between a cook who fights with kitchen knives and one who uses sticky ramen noodles as a weapon. In an effort to save face, Ussop hides his behind a mask and takes on the alter identity of Sogeking (who even has his own theme song). Amid these chaotic rescue attempts, Robin continues to insist she doesn't want to be saved. None of the Straw Hats listen when she protests: as thug-turned-ally Franky comments, the Straw Hats are all stubborn, especially where their friends are concerned. In short, it's exactly the sort of slapstick-action that made One Piece an international hit.
