My husband is an airline pilot and general aviation enthusiast who is in awe of this documentary about the Van Nuys airport. Our whole family is impressed with the visually stunning filming and photography, as well as, the outstanding score. The music is exceptionally moving and beautiful. This a must for anyone who appreciates flying and is concerned about the loss of our country's small airports. We look forward to more of Mr. Brian J. Terwilliger's (producer/director) work in the future. This is an exceptional aviation documentary.

If you've ever flown in a small aircraft and 'zoomed' across the sky then you will know the DVDs 16R and 16L (named after the runways at KVNY in California). The orchestral soundtrack sweeps you up into the clouds and inspires, whilst the old world 'jazz' tracks make you recall the beginnings of aviation and the barnstorming nature of old and bold pilots. You need to see the stunning flight images of the DVDs to appreciate the music fully then you find yourself understanding why when you fly you truly 'touch the face of God'.

The music makes the movie, and this soundtrack brings with it all the emotion of the movie. If you've flown in small aircraft you'll understand. If you haven't, you should!

This soundtrack to an excellent movie was way worth the purchase for me because I enjoyed the movie so much which makes the music almost reminiscent as well as beautiful to listen to.

After watching the wonderful documentary, I just knew I had to have the soundtrack. And sure enough, all the music from One Six Right can be found here, and it is really good. However...it just doesn't seem to have the emotional "impact" as it does when accompanied by the movie, and I don't find myself listening to it very often. More of a novelty.

You should definitely buy the movie though, as well as the One Six Left follow up!

I watched this documentary with my father (a pilot) on a local PBS station (KCET) and I was so memorized. Living in Los Angeles and more so the San Fernando Valley I really enjoyed not only the "history lesson" but the music and impressive visuals. The beautiful shots of planes flying as well as landing on 16R is amazing. I purchased two copies of the soundtrack for myself as well as my father. It's a fixture in his car, he's also a classical music lover so more the better to add this CD to his collection. If you enjoy composers like James Newton Howard, James Hornor, and Randy Edelman this is a CD for you! Nathan Wang does an amazing job with this composition.

Great documentary from my neighbor growing up as a boy. Fond memories and the movie's well done.

A wonderful collection of music -- the video was great to watch recently on an HD channel on TV and the music struck me as very meaningful. Great set of music just to place on your MP3 player and listen to on your next flight.

Beautifully haunting melodies that provide pleasant mental images of flight, even without the accompanying DVD.
