The patterns are interesting, but spending 50 to 100+ dollars to satisfy a knitting craving to make a small scarf, shawl or shrug is a little much.
Bottom line - don't be afraid to substitute yarns or be prepared to spend $$$ to knit up the smallest project.
The book contains 25 patterns, all interesting and pleasing to the eye. This is a nice addition to any knitting library.
Shrugs and caplets are for the petite all other items are run of the mill.
More thought should have been given to the yarn substitute.
I have been a knitter for more than 40 years and found errors in the written instructions. Very sorry that I even gave it a thought to purchase it.
There are a good variety of patterns in the book. A good variety of items, styles, and difficulties. I might make a couple of things out of this book eventually, so it wasn't a total disappointment.
Any knitter would love to receive this book as a gift.

The book and the designs are excellent. The instructions are wrong, I have to buy the pattern in the german version to make a shawl. Specifically the Stacking Shells Shawl.Published 14 months ago by Lic. Imelda Aleman
Too many mundane scarf patterns and too little innovation. Not all the patterns have diagrams - this is especially missed for the "Stacking shells shawl'. Read morePublished 20 months ago by V.G. Gartushka
