Editorial Reviews

Former Celebrity Trainer on NBC's hit show, The Biggest Loser & Dr. Phil's Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge

"I'm so excited about Abby Campbell's new book, One Size Does NOT Fit All Diet Plan. What she has done is awesome and so needed on bookshelves everywhere!"

Former Contestant of NBC's Hit The Biggest Loser Season 9

"I have been asked to endorse, sell, and review a lot of products. I can say without hesitation or reservation that this is the first book that I agreed to review, and there is a reason for this. I have worked with the best of the best trainers and nutritionists, and Campbell ranks right up there with those I've worked with. The nutrition planning, blueprints, and examples are on target. As you read this book, you are turning the pages on the chapter of your fate, in a good way."

6-time National Champion, 3-time World Gold Medalist

"This book is spot on! Tremendous mix of biochemistry and common sense. There are many fads out there, but this will change your quality of life with permanent health. As a world class athlete and member of the Stand Strength team, I have consulted with the author on high performance nutrition and have been given advice that led to multiple World records in powerlifting and many championships. Well, here is a cover to cover quality of health and happiness."

World Renowned Fitness Expert, CEO of Fitness Adventures USA, and Owner of Fit for Photos

"For anyone who is serious about building a healthy lifestyle, this is the book for you! One Size Does NOT Fit All Diet Plan will put you on the right track by helping you build healthy habits, even if it's one habit at a time. The meal planning portion is only a bonus!"

Researcher, Exercise Physiology and Chronic Illness
Massey University, New Zealand

"Obtaining correct information about weight loss these days is often a matter of unlearning nutritional here-say, than actually learning anything new. Marketers are notoriously good at appealing to the consumer by offering an endless variety of options though a one size fits all approach to health and weight loss. Rather than basing her program on a particular superfood or the teachings of some extreme dietary guru, Abby's program is based on simple and solid dietary principles which make sense and work! Abby backs each step of her plan with scientific evidence, which brings peace of mind."

Library Journal (December 2012)

"Personal trainer and nutritionist Campbell emphasizes sound nutritional knowledge and the use of unprocessed foods. She points out that such food items are much cheaper than processed varieties and save money as well as calories. Her system of 'counting blocks' fine-tunes diets according to the individual's weight. Eating every three hours keeps hunger at bay and each meal consists of a set amount of a type of food, i.e., protein, starch, fat, etc. VERDICT: Somewhat complicated but sound, this book will appeal to the detail-oriented dieters."

From the Author

"Food can be used as a poison or a prescription. Why not use it as a prescription for good health? Weight loss is only a great side effect."

Abby's book One Size Does NOT Fit All Diet Plan takes a no nonsense approach to a diet/nutrition plan that is tailored to the individual with easy to use guidelines and delicious recipes which are easy, nutritious and quick. Even a "picky eater" should be able to tailor a nutrition plan to themselves using this book.

My husband and I are both overweight and have tried a variety of diets, products and exercise programs with limited success on and off for the last several years. We have both seen success using this plan and the nutrition guidelines, principles and recipes are sustainable long-term.

I was able to preview the nutrition plan prior to the arrival of my book and have enjoyed success of a loss of 18 pounds in 4 weeks without adding exercise. This isn't a "cure all" or a "magic book", but I wanted to use myself as a test subject and remove any other variables that could have affected weight loss to see if just following this plan could make any changes - and it did!

This book has changed the way that I view food and how I eat without requiring that I have a college degree to understand the principles of nutrition it contains.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to lose weight, firm and tone, increase their overall health or learn some excellent nutrition advice and planning tools.

It's on my personal must read list! As a matter of fact, I now own my own personal copy, a "loaner" copy and have ordered some for family/friends.

I think most of us have complained, and rightfully so, that the Body Mass Index (BMI) doesn't and has not ever really taken into account that we're all a bit different. Perhaps a lot different. Not unlike many dieters, Abby Campbell struggled with her own weight only to discover that as a result of her incessant dieting "her thyroid was destroyed." She tried "fat burners, low-carb diets, as well as starvation diets" in an attempt to regain that youthful figure. Personal health issues, including a bout with cancer, plagued her a she struggled with weight issues. There had to be a better way to lose and keep the weight off, but achieving her goal would be a long time in the future.

Perhaps as a direct result of having to overcome so many obstacles, Campbell came to terms with her yo-yo dieting and changed her tactics. Her loss may just be your gain. She embarked on years of research, primarily in the fields of exercise and nutrition. It's really a no-brainer that it's not logical for "a 300 pound man [to] be on the same diet as a 150 pound woman." The same logic would hold true for the those off-the-wall-wrong charts that tell a person they are obese when in actuality they are not (why diet if you don't have to?) Campbell describes a quick and easy method of determining whether you have a small, medium, or large frame. An at a glance chart will instantly let you know where you're at ... or where you should be.

Although Campbell specializes in "women's fitness, health, and weight loss," she's tweaked the formula to include everyone who is either considering dieting or is on one. Perhaps the first part of this book will leave the reading thinking, "Have I heard this stuff somewhere before?" You probably have.

This is the first "diet" book that I have read that I actually understood and felt like it was do-able. I have tried all kinds of diets, pills, drinks, exercise equipment that will magically melt the pounds and inches. This is the book that will help me get fit and healthy and not starve myself in the process.
I have known Abby Campbell for a couple of years, yet we have never met. I met her on a weight loss forum and we became friends. She has helped me get my food clean and healthy. She has helped me find exercises to help me get my body toned and lose weight. I have Fibromyalgia, under-active thyroid, high blood pressure, Rheumatoid arthritis and Osteo-Arthritis and Abby has helped me to do exercises to strengthen my body and not hurt my body. With this book *(I know I have a blueprint of how to obtain this goal. I can find a variety of food and exercise to better my life. This book will be beside me and referred to time and time again. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to get yourself in shape, eat clean and be healthy. I have found a way to live healthy and have gained a wonderful friend and mentor.

Abby's book One Size Does Not Fit All is amazing. I've been trying to lose weight and with Abby's help, I'm able to do so. This book isn't looking at you as being fat, but as you as a person. Abby is there to help you as a person and not as a number. She knows that the struggle we all go through is hard and that we are all different. This book is amazing, it gives you information that is useful and you can make your own meals from her menus. I just can't say enough about this book or Abby. I feel that if you want a book to help you with your lifestyle and not a diet, this is the book.

Even though I have worked out for a very long time, eating healthy was never something I really bothered to learn. Still, I have always known that eating the right type of diet specifically designed for you was the best way to get the body that you are looking for.

A few years ago, I had to learn how to figure out how to eat to lose body fat and had to learn it on my own. I spent hours and days trying to understand and figure out exactly how I was suppose to eat and what types of foods to eat to lose fat. If I had known this book was around I would have learned it all so much faster and so much easier.

Abby does a great job of breaking down how to eat, understanding the right type of foods to eat, and exactly how to schedule out your eating patterns. She even provides blue prints for your exact body size no matter your size!

Eating healthy and especially eating to lose weight can seem so over whelming and confusing. With so much information all over the place it can all seem like so much to take in.

If you are really serious about losing weight and really understanding how to eat right to do it then I highly recommend this book!
