When someone showed me a copy, I wanted to give one to every young person I knew. This book is endearing as well as educational. The 3-D elements are amazing--inserts of event tickets, press passes and notes are all made to look like it is a true scrapbook put together by a youngster whose Granddad and Mother worked in the space program--which is its basis. Adults will be thrilled with it and be reeducated on the historic events with this front-row seat. The most amazing thing is that this book could be assembled and then offered at such a reasonable price! I gave it to my 11-year-old niece just as her class began to study the space program. Her whole family loves the book. Can't say enough about it!

I bought this book for my great-nephew who turned five a few months ago. His mom tells me that he loves everything to do with astronauts and space ships. Me too! I think astronauts are very brave, just imagine going up in a spaceship and it's shaking so hard you feel like a ping pong ball as it rises off the launch pad and engines are super LOUD. This book tells the reader all about being an astronaut, you know they have to study really hard so they know what to do when they get into space. Whew! What I especially liked about this book were the little surprises tucked between the pages, such as a menu. What do you think astronauts like to eat? An alligator? No I don't think alligators are on the menu. What would you like, a moonshake?
My great-nephew and I hope you enjoy this book too.

This book captures a lot of the nostalgia of the USA's finest hour. Perfect for kids who are interested in reality rather than video games.Brings back memories from my childhood when I believed in America and when anything was possible.
