5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book enjoyed for years
We have had this book since my daughter was 18 months. Now at three years old, she still loves it as she did the first time I read it to her. It is often one of her preferred bedtime stories- throughout the year, not just at Christmas. The tactile nature of the book and the vivid colors engage her completely. We now have almost all of M. 3.0 out of 5 stars Leaves some of the story out!
My two year old checked this book out at our local library and he loved it (also loved One Rainy Day). So I bought it for him, and decided to get the boardbook instead of the hardcover. But, the stories are not the same, since the boardbook leaves some details out of the story. The hardcover story is much better.

I am glad we discovered this author and her delightful books.

I bought this book for my two year old. He enjoys the richly colored pictures and woodland animals. The story shows the spirit of Christmas through giving and friendship which makes it a hit with me, too.

I loved M. Christina Butler's Book "One Winter's Day" and this is her follow up called "One Snowy Night" It's another charming winter tale that your child is sure to love. It's a touch and feel book, which has a nice, tactile feel. That along with great illustrations by Tina Macnaughton will leave you "warm and fuzzy" If your child loves hedgehogs, be sure to also check out the Gilbert the hedgehog books by Diane Degroat.

I have been knitting felted hedgehogs and wanted a cute story book to give as gifts with the hedgehogs. This is a wonderful book and it has soft texture pages in the book for little children to touch. Great choice.
