This was a beautiful story that started so many years before...

One winter night, an accident happened. It was an accident that Dr. Eric witnessed, and one that changed his life...forever...

After her husband dies, Kate finds herself alone with a baby and a broken heart. She loved her husband more than life itself, and she lived painfully aware that she would never have her husband back. Her daughter, Sarah would NEVER know her father!

Eric lost his wife in a forced divorced, but Eric still felt married. He promised "Till death do us part," and those words meant everything to him.

Then five years after the accident, the two met. A friendship soon occured, but romance was far from their minds. Only after they were both able to bury their past could they move on.

This story was SOOOOOO GREAT! There is a pretty steamy and procotative kiss in this book that occurs at night in Kate's apartment where Eric was going to spend the night. The author ends the scene with them still kissing, so we are left to imagine "what happened next..." Then the next morning, Eric brings coffee into Kate's bedroom.

Personally, I don't believe there was anything improper in this story. There were valid reasons for him to be spending the night. I think the kiss could have happened at a more 'appropiate' time since it lasted two pages...but hey, I loved every word of that scene! It was a bit sensual, though, since he kissed the back of her neck and trailed kisses around to her front before actually kissing her...Like I said, a pretty steamy kiss - but it was so beautiful!

Unlike many Love Inspired stories, the hero was the one who had to be convinced...I'll leave it at that. The last chapter explains everything!!!
