It's all good,

Anything by Linkin Park is good. This is no exception. Has the first single song from their debut CD Hybrid Theory, plus two unreleased tracks that are every bit as great as LP's other songs. "My December" is my favorite, as it is somber, moody, and deep. "High Voltage" dictates their mission and let's you know they're the real thing. Is mostly rap, but clever and fun. And if you pop this CD into your computer, you get to see their single "One Step Closer" video in pretty good quality. Worth it if you ask me. I enjoy this little import very much

LP kicks ...!,

I'd buy this single just for "My December," which showcases the band's softer side and definately should've made it on to Hybrid Theory. "High Voltage" also shows that they're not limited to just rock-oriented music, but that they can skillfully cut a hip-hop track too. And of course, there's "One Step Closer," the loud, hard metal track that has talented lead singer Chester Bennington shouting "Shut up when I'm talking to you!" as it's bridge. This is a great single... it doesn't have one track of just the band talking to you saying, "Oh, thanks for buying our single. Now go buy our cd." Linkin Park is the best band out their and I'm one of their biggest fans!! (But if you don't wanna go buy the single just for three songs, you could get Hybrid Theory and download "My December" and "High Voltage") And just as a note, there's two versions of "High Voltage": the remix and the original. The original doesn't have Chester on it, just MC Mike Shinonda because it was recorded before Chester joined the band.

Worth the price!,

I am surprised My December didn't make it on the Hybrid Theory CD. This is an awesome song displaying a different side of LP. I don't think I have ever bought a CD with 3 great tracks, each with its own edge. Little bit of hard, soft and hip-hop.

NOT a Mistake!,

I have to disagree. The purpose of CD singles is to promote the band, and especially the song that the single is titled after. Not to promote a different song. However, for the uninformed, I will clarify. This version of "My December" is the original version they did. There are only two versions - one is on their remix album "Reanimation" which is the upbeat version. The other is this one, which is my personal favorite. It shows the versatility of the band. It's wrong to hate this single because the version of a B-side is not the one you heard on the radio. If you wish to hear the one you heard on the radio, purchase "Reanimation." The Reanimation version is upbeat, while this one is, as was said, a slow, moody ballad. Now for the actual single itself. One Step Closer is a perfect angsty song, delivering hard-hitting guitar riffs, vocals, and lyics. It's amazing how well the blend comes together to form an addictive song, even if you don't like Chester Bennington screaming "SHUT UP WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!" This is also a great single because, as I said before, it shows the diversity and versatility of the band. Where One Step Closer is more metal than anything else, My December is a direct contrasts to it - slow, gentle, brooding, and High Voltage is a pure rap, giving Mike Shinoda a time to shine. This single is great for three different types of music lovers - metal, classical, and hip-hop - and I would suggest picking this single up, as well as their albums "Hybrid Theory," "Reanimation," and coming March 25th, "Meteora." Everything you say to me drives me one step closer to the edge, and I'm about to break.

Take "One Step Closer." Add some "My December" and "High Voltage." Mix them together. And now you have Linkin Park.Although none of these songs are entirly what Linkin Park is aiming for--blending rap, rock with some melody--each song represents one of the bands elements. "One Step Closer" and "High Voltage" are both good solid tracks. But "My December" is what makes a three-song single worth [$$$]. You could call it pop, but I wouldn't. It's slow, soft, and overflowing with emotion. If you liked Hybrid Theory at all, buy this. It's worth it.

THIS IS THE SONG THAT INTRODUCED ME TO THIS GREAT BAND. I HAVE YET TO PICK UP AN ALBUM BY THESE GUYS. THIS SONG ROCKS. IT HAS GOOD LYRICS, GOOD VOCALS, GOOD GUITAR RIFFS, AND IT'S LOT OF FUN TO LISTEN TO. I DEFINITELY HAVE TO CHECK ''HYBRID THEORY'' & ''METEORA'' SOMETIME VERY SOON. ALL ROCK FANS NEED TO HEAR THIS SONG.

THIS SONG IS GREAT!!! This is probably the best Linkin Park song ever! I havn't heard all of High Voltage but from what I did hear it was a realy good rap song. I think Mike worked realy hard to put the song together. I barely heard any of My December but from what I did hear of it it wasn't great but still good. Then we come to One Step Closer. This is the song that got me into Linkin Park. IT IS NOTHING BUT PURE AMAZING! I love the shut ups and especially the last one. It is probably the heaviest Linkin Park song.

Ok I have Hybrid Theory and I am a member of the Linkin Park underground so I already have these 3 songs but trust me, you want this one. One Step Closer is one of the best on Hybrid Theory. High Voltage isn't great but it's got a good beat and it is LP. My December takes a break from the regular stuff with a soft ballad, which is a lot better than you might think.
