If you like either of these two masters, buy it. Outside if his best work with Coltrane, this session is my favorite McCoy Tyner performance. While they might seem like strange bedfellows at first glance, these magnificently recorded accoustic duets come off beautifully, exhibiting surprisingly symbiotic interplay on intricate interpretations of old standards. The sound here is rich and deep, intimate. Great late night jazz.

I love to listen to McCoy Tyner, but this album has a warm spot for me because I used it for a gift and it was a hit. Have you ever thought of music as a gift that brings family closer together?
