I am leading the One Thousand Gift DVD series at my church in January. I received the DVD as soon as I could. I have so ENJOYED your study. The book, which I read this past spring, was life changing for me and I am so excited to share the video series with my church! I have found myself turning the lessons on just to listen to and soak in while working at home above and beyond the work I put into them to lead. I am a photographer and the photos you share are a beautiful touch. The way you narrate your stories is very easy to follow. Also, as someone who has hearing loss, I greatly appreciate the bold, outlined words on the captions. The work book is more reflective than "study" and to me that helps bring change rather than "memorization" as I have been guilty of in past video studies. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU for sharing!

I highly recommend this to anyone!

This study is exceptional. I gathered my 10 favorite girlfriends together, poured ice tea for them, and started on a 5 week journey that has changed each of our lives. I knew it would!

I read the book 7 months ago and have been changed ever since.....and I wanted more. Ann's unique, honest and poetic way of writing speaks to my heart so deeply. Thank you, Ann, for this study.....you literally have changed our vision.

Over my lifetime, there have been so many lessons that I have either learned from or taught that have made significant impact in my life. I would be hard pressed to select just one, yet, I will focus on a lesson that has challenged me to grow within the past couple of years. Last August, I found myself in a deep state of depression and anxiety. I decided to take a month away from work and school to unplug at a convent so that I could become closer to God. I did not know how I would go about doing this, but I knew it had to be done. While at the convent, during one of my daily cell phone checks, I noticed that a friend had texted and recommended that I read a book titled "1,000 Gifts." As I was in a place without a library, which would have this book, and horrible internet reception, I still thought it was worth a try, so I huddled in the corner of the tiny hut that had the best reception, and I waited 3 hours for the book to download to my Kindle. I had no idea the journey I was about to embark.

As I read each page, my heart filled with so much emotion, I did not know what to do. It was as if Ann Voskamp, the author, had stepped into my life and was challenging me to take ownership of the wonders with which God had blessed me. I had never felt such a connection from a book before in all of my years as an avid reader. I wanted to know more about Eucharisteo and how being thankful could truly impact a life. It was by this introduction that I was led to take a bible study with Ann Voskamp, which is where the most influential lesson of my life has been to date. Ann took simple things and turned them gratitude to God for all things. She gave me a glimpse into her life and her soul. I was able to camp out there and share my darkest fears and hopeful desires. There, I was welcomed with all of my baggage. I felt whole. I felt inspired to do something I had not felt like doing for years...to live; to live this one life well.

What does living life well look like? Why has this life been so hard and seemed so much like punishment? These are questions that I continually asked and Ann challenged me to think not about the hardships and the grime, but the ways that there was light and hope; opportunities to be grateful and thankful for the things that we do not always notice. The gifts that God gives us are always around us, Ann taught me. She required that I hold myself accountable for my reactions to this life and that I take my life back from being in bondage, a hostage, to my own lack of faith in a God who is always faithful. She pushed me to move while also being still in His goodness and appreciating each day for what it truly is. A gift.

It has been hard looking at life like it is a gift. When it is so ridden with failures and lost hopes of past accomplishments. Judging ourselves is the worst form of torture, yet we submit ourselves to it daily. We compare ourselves with others and we try to overcome who we were created to be, but in this one lesson, I learned that God, in all of His perfection, created me to be perfect in His will...not in the world. This lesson changed my life. That is why it is the best lesson that I have learned recently.

Used the dvds for a book study with a small group of women. Really enjoyed the book and study! Dvd is somewhat redundant of the book, but still worth watching. Her photos are really artistic!

I love Ann's book. I did feel the video's were to close to what the book said. I was hoping for a little more. Having said that I love Ann and I think she is a very gifted woman!

Ann Voskamp's writing reaches deep within and touches the very pulse of heart. She is able to communicate what I wish to say, but do not have that gift of language. One Thousand Thanks for Ann. She is one of God's true messengers.

I shared this study with a group of seven women and it was great! It was exciting to share our own personal experiences and start our own gratitude journals.

This was purchased for my wife's bible study that she leads, comprised of stay at home moms. She says that they like the DVD and it is useful.

I felt like she was on another level and found her difficult to follow. I thought it must be me so I had a friend listen with me, we both fell asleep. When I attempted to listen again, I continued to find it difficult to follow. I am so sorry as I ordered two books in addition to the DVD.
