Great lyrics. Beautiful voice. Fabulous arrangements. A hearfelt masterpiece of love attained and unrequited. The most underrated singer/songwriter ever. In my opinion this is his best effort but "Apprentice In A Musical Workshop" and "Country Suite" are also outstanding. Do yourselves a favor and buy them all. Each is a literate, soothing feast for the ears and heart.

I first heard this album in Colorado in the late 70s...beautifully done,wonderfully sang and played,and truly Loggins finest effort. The songs 'One Way Ticket' and "Goodbye Eyes" are especially nice,and the lead in to One Way Ticket," Ship in the Bottle" sets the stage beautifully. Anyone interested in Folk/Rock or Contry Rock should give this a listen....

I've been carrying the songs from this album in my head since 1981. I had it on vinyl and loved it...played it all the time...and lost it. I've been searching for it on disc since the inception of CDs. Even went as far as asking if anyone that had it, copy it to disc or MP3. Now I have my very own copy on disc and couldn't be happier. Thank You Sony Music...you got one right!

Built this CD around One Way Ticket To Paradise but there is more to Dave than this CD. Not as good as his "Come to Boston" CD but that us just me. If you like Dave's music then give this a whirl..

I whole-heartily agree that Dave was "The most underrated singer/songwriter ever" and this was easily his best album. I still remember hearing "One Way Ticket to Paradise" being played late one night on FM, and the next day I went out and bought it...then every other album Dave ever made, including his first "Personal Belongings" which was simply beautiful (a close call to also be called his best album). Unfortunately, Dave's big hit "Please Come To Boston" was on one of his weakest albums, which is probably why he was so underrated, although he saw a bit of a comeback with his "David Loggins" album.
