5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent "unplugged" type recording - excellent
You cannot deny the fact that Joey McIntyre has an incredible voice. This recording not only showcases his voice, but also shows he can have a lot of fun in the process. It's just him, Eman playing the guitar and a small crowd of Joey Mac fans. A great use of your listening hour. You will be pleasantly surprised!

1.0 out of 5 stars Mega disappointed
I love Joe but this CD was terrible. I would definately not reccommend it to anyone. The main thing I objected to is the use of the Lord's name in vain in at least 3 songs. This was not neccessary.

This recording does have a few obscene words, but if you can overlook that, you will have found one of the best "live" recordings in the past 5 years.

4.0 out of 5 stars NOT BAD AT ALL JOE MAC...., October 22, 2002

Since Joey never comes around my area, I was glad to at least be able to pick up his LIVE cd. It contains lots of tracks from his two solo cd's and also some rare live material...he is in great voice and does well. He sure seems to be having the time of his life! He deserves more recognition! Good job Joe Mac!

5.0 out of 5 stars Joey Mac- Live & Rocking!, October 11, 2002
By
This review is from: One Too Many: Live From New York (Audio CD)
As a fan of Joey McIntyre from his New Kids days, I purchased this CD as soon as I found it. However, I was pleasantly surprised to hear how much Joe has matured, and this live album is the perfect format to showcase his music. In addition to his own music, his covers of Time after Time and Landslide are incredible. The best way to approach Joe's music is to not think of him as a boy band member grown up and gone solo- just think of him as a male vocalist who got started early. Oh, and props to Eman- not only does he sound great, but the song All the Way is from his album, and it rocks. Buy this album- you won't regret it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great music!!!, April 20, 2004

I have been a huge fan since I was 11 and I am 25 now. I bought this album at his performance in Indy and was sooo glad I did. The songs are inspired (I love "Falling")as well as very humorus. It is so nice to have a CD that you never want to take out of your car, because it just gets better every time you hear it. I can't wait for 8:09 to come out, and to see his performance in NYC in a few weeks! I love you Joe, you are wonderful!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Impressive, April 2, 2004
This review is from: One Too Many: Live From New York (Audio CD)
I admit, when I first ordered this CD several months ago, I assumed it would be mediocre, but as a diehard Joe Mac fan I wanted to give it a chance. Boy was I surprised. Not only did Joe write most of the songs himself (which seems unusual among many modern artists, who have little creative writing talent), but also the music is *real* - real guitar, real harmonica, real piano, the works. I know this might seem obvious since the CD was recorded live in a club, but it was so refreshing to hear good music performed the "old-fashioned way" that I had to mention it here. Joe and Eman are serious when they need to be, yet not uptight: they know when to throw in a few jokes, draw in the audience, and poke fun at each other in a way that makes you wish you were right there watching. Even my older sister, once a New Kid fan like me but now a very critical skeptic, was impressed by the music and singing. So was my husband, and we all know how most guys feel about the NKOTB; I would catch him walking around the house singing one of Joe's songs! The only problem I have with this CD is that it has a lot of cursing that I believe takes away from the quality of the songs; however, I guess this is my own fault for buying the "explicit lyrics" version. I highly recommend the (clean) CD to everyone, not just Joe McIntyre's original "braveheart" fans. I promise you'll be very impressed, and like me, you might end up keeping it in your CD player to listen to whenever you're home.

I was thrilled with the impromptu stylings of Joe and Eman. I loved his cover versions of so many great songs, it was so nice to hear the wide range of vocal talent that Joe has. I think old and new fans alike would all enjoy this uplifting cd. I actually felt like I sitting right there with a drink in my hand. Awesome!

I thought this album was hilariously funny. Especially What If I Was Gay. I was trying to fall asleep to this and could not stop laughing to myself. This was much better than his non - live albums!

This CD is so great! I liked it a lot more than I expected!
It showcases not only his talent but his charismatic personality as well.
I haven't listened to him since the New Kids days.
And I actually bought the CD as a gag gift for someone else.
I liked it so much that I kept it for myself!!!
I recommend it to anyone!

5.0 out of 5 stars Joey's rules... He's the boss..., October 26, 2002

(I hope you'll understand me, cause i'm a french speaker, so, forgive my mistakes: here we go!)
At the age of 10, I saw the "Please don't go girl" music video and fell in love with "the cute little singer with the blue eyes": Joe McIntyre... At this time, i was a huge fan of NKOTB... Few months ago, i've found out that Joey McIntyre was coming in Montreal, for a concert... I was like: " OMG! Joe is doing a solo career? I HAVE to found out how it sounds like!"... And here i am... I went on his web site, bought all his new CD'S... And i fell in love with him again!!!! Forget about the cute little boy that he was at 15... (Don't get me wrong, he's still GOERGOUS!) But... You HAVE to listen to this CD to understand... He's real, and SO FUNNY! But no needs to say that it brings me back into my memories. I feel like a teenager again! All what they've used to play the music is an accoustic guitar and a little bit of piano... (You'll know why he can't use it for all the show if you buy the album ;-p) We are far away from the super hi tech sound system and this is exactly what i like: It feels like sharing an intimate moment with him. He brings us into his life... and shares opinions and thoughts with us. He's now an accomplished artist and a talented man who wants to tell us what he feels and who he is now... But in my heart, he'll always be the one i used to kiss on his poster before going to school when i was 11 (I know, i was CRAZY and psycho at that time but hey, i was 11, OK?) And knowing that he still can be a part of my life throught his music make me feel that life isn't always bad and can be simple after all... Like when i was young... And this live album makes me holding on until Joey is coming back in concert here... I don't know when, but i'm definitly not gonna miss it next time!!!!!!!

This is hands down my FAVORITE of Joe's CD's. Even if you know all the songs, you haven't heard them like this! Joe and Eman's stage chemistry is amazing. I actually prefer several of Joe's songs acoustically vs. LP versions. This album is a MUST HAVE for any true Braveheart!
