5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely a perfect chill-out affair, April 22, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: One Two Freak (Audio CD)
If you haven't checked out Baby Mammoth then do it now! Warm, tender, yet full of good beats and dubby grooves, this is an excellent album. Actually, all of their albums are good. But this one is probably their best. "Basilica" is a deep deep bass chiller, absolutely soothing, just touches you in the right spot. "Sound In Your Mouth" is an awesome chilled house groove--amazing. If you like Fila Brazillia, you'll like Baby Mammoth. Less adventurous than Fila, but replete with melodies and sentimental moods.

4.0 out of 5 stars Baby Mammoth - One...Two...Freak, February 21, 2011
This review is from: One Two Freak (Audio CD)
Baby Mammoth continue their winning streak. Their third album, One... Two... Freak, has the fuller sound and more thought-out drum programming that marked their second, Bridging Two Worlds. But the music itself is more layered, too, adding a feeling of depth. "Additive," for instance, is simple, but catchy. The tracks are better edited too; they end before their welcome is worn out. There's a bit more moodiness as well - like the sustained tones on "Wend Off." Plenty to be happy with here.
