This review is from: One Voice Raised: A Triumph Over Rape (Paperback) What an incredible story. If it were fiction, Jennifer Wheatley-Wolf would be critically acclaimed for her writing abilities, but the fact that it is a true story makes it that much more amazing. Thank you for sharing your tragedy and your journey. This book is truly inspiring for anyone that doesn't want the quiet and voiceless to endure one second of what Jennifer encountered and lived with for 21 years.
From the Author
I wrote this story for all rape and sexual assault victims in the hope that the importance of reporting the crime is made clear. As survivors, we hold the key, the power, to stop rapists by reporting the crime and seeing it through to conviction. Nearly 70% of all rapes go unreported. We CAN make a difference.
William Joseph Trice was free to continue his life of abuse and sexual assault for 21 years. He was arrested numerous times. He spent several months in jail for indecent exposure to a minor. It was not until after conviction in 2010 that he was linked to 2 more victims bringing the total of known victims to 4. Only he knew how many women should have their day in court.
I hope those who have a similar story, but have lost faith, will
once again believe that good does eventually triumph over evil and not give up
hope. This book is for those who have lost the ability to believe in themselves and the kindness of others, who doubt they are strong enough to reassemble their lives after a horrible encounter, and for those who have forgotten it's okay to stumble, forgive yourself, and get back to living.
