If you are looking for a CD that keeps you "SATISFIED", captivated and mesmerized..this is it.Pop it in the next time you work out. From the "Temple", to"Sweet Angel" and" Melt" it promises to energize you and get you motivated. "When it Rains" is a perfect cool down song. You have to get this one...it is a must have...

3.0 out of 5 stars Has what the others lack
I bought this CD just a few weeks after it was released, back in 1999. During my first listen I was immediately impressed with the sheer quality of Erin Hamilton's voice. It possesses the command and charisma--the blatant talent--that other new voices in the dance arena (or anyplace else) are simply missing. Absent from Hamilton's voice are the arduous effort and...

5.0 out of 5 stars Diva, Diva, Diva!, January 20, 2000

I bought this CD completely on the recommendations of the customer reviews, and boy was I not disappointed. This is truly a great dance/cruising/workout/everything CD. I totally recommend it to anyone that enjoys upbeat lyrics and music.

Erin, you have a wonderful voice and talent. It is showcased beautifully on all tracks, but especially "Satisfied" where your vocals and style remind me of Aretha Franklin. Keep up the great work, I can't wait for the next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dance Music at its Best, December 30, 1999

I bought the CD for DREAM WEAVER months ago, and I kept waiting for this to come out! Now that it is out there I am so pleased. It has a high NRG dance sensibility paired with moving lyrics. Erin is a great singer and the production values are top-notch. Fans of CHER, THE PET SHOP BOYS, and DONNA SUMMER will find this album satisfying. It's up-lifting, and moves you in several ways. Nobody I've played it for has anything but good things to say! I waiver on buying dance albums for fear that they may not live up to the singles, but this album stands up to the great work she's already done with the singles. I can't say enough about how much it has touched me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great voice- great new songs!, November 7, 1999

Fresh and clean- I find myself playing it over and over. I finally bought a second CD so I wouldn't have to keep taking it out of my car. The tunes keep running thru my head- Love "When It Rains" the best- think it should be a hit single, but truly they are all good. Very impressive for a first album. Am looking forward to the second. Does Erin's voice (when she hits the low notes) have a hint of Karen Carpenter? The songwriters are talented- great production!

5.0 out of 5 stars This CD is Hot, is there a way I can add a sixth star?, October 30, 1999

Where did Erin Hamilton come from? This CD took me totally by surprise. If you are buying this album because of The Flame or Dreamweaver, get ready to be pleasantly surprised because in my opinion, some of the other songs on this album are better. Satisfaction, When it Rains and Sweet Angel are gorgeous songs just to name a few. Then, there is the Temple and Melt, I could just go on and on. The only problem with my purchase is that I did not buy two because I am constantly going back to my car to get the cd so I can hear it in the house. The CD starts with the line "Let it all begin," and I could not agree more, I can only hope that we are no where near the end because I want more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Erin's CD Is Filled With AWESOME Dance Music!, October 23, 1999
By A Customer

I was really blown away by Erin's three single releases that preceded this album, so I knew that hearing a full-length CD would be a treat. I was not disappointed! You canNOT sit still while hearing these pulsating club classics-in-the-making. The fourth single, The Temple, opens up the CD with the words "Let it all begin!" After those opening syllables, you are taken on the club ride of your life. Let's hope this CD is the first of many, many more to come in Erin's career!

5.0 out of 5 stars Erin Shines like a Brilliant Star, October 12, 1999

When I first heard "DreamWeaver" last year at Fusion in Atlanta, I was instantly a fan. The lush, melodic vocals of Hamilton forver made an impression upon me that morning. From then, the mega circuit hits "Satisfied" and "The Flame" came out, much to all the boy's liking. I have been waiting for a full-length album, and here it finally is! A masterpiece. Thanks Trax for signing such a gifted gal to your roster. Erin--WE LOVE YA!!!!!!!!

I first heard of Erin Hamilton when I read an article about her in The Advocate magazine. I downloaded a few songs, loved them and then just recently ordered the CD. This ablum is absolutely amazing. One of the best I've ever had the opportunity to listen too, and I'm an avid music shopper(1-2 CDs a week) If you like music with a good beat, beautiful lyrics and a stunning voice, look no further than Erin Hamilton!!!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

More consistent level of quality than other dance CDs- not just one hit with 9 filler songs.
Better voice, too- nice and full in the upper range (and she's got some great high notes); she doesn't switch to a breathy Brittney whisper. She belts it out like a real woman.
Some good white-girl soul feeling, too. The real thing, not the overdone Celine vocal antics. Not a souless mannequin. Growling in the low range, she reminds me a few times of Annie Lennox, and that's a huge compliment.

I read her interview in Advocate (or was it Out?) and it was good to read that she had gotten herself together, so I bought her CD. Not that being a good person means you make a good dance CD, but in this case, the two do go together. The other reviews on this page are right on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Erin Hamilton IS GREAT, January 3, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: One World (Audio CD)
I fell in LOVE with the DREAM WEAVER remix which I first began hearing at clubs...then I started hearing SATISFIED and later found out it was the same artist....Erin Hamilton. Then I was at a record store and heard THE FLAME and asked who it was and they said...ERin Hamilton. I could not get away from great songs I loved and they all turned out to be Erin. The Dream Weaver song is my absolute favorite. She has nailed this classic song and it will always be one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES
