5.0 out of 5 stars High energy that makes me smile (and sometimes dance)
I heard Skylar interviewed on NPR: they played part of a song, and I liked it -- but it was Skylar's energy and enthusiasm for the music that made me run to my laptop and buy the CD. I listen to it over and over: some of the songs make you just JUMP up and start dancing or doing exercises...and it's hard to listen to Skylar talk without smiling. His enthusiasm is...

3.0 out of 5 stars great if you don't mind a DJ
I love these Putamayo collections, but this one has a child "DJ" talking over the beginning of every song. While interesting, I use this with my music class, so the talking is disruptive. The music is great though!

I listen to it over and over: some of the songs make you just JUMP up and start dancing or doing exercises...and it's hard to listen to Skylar talk without smiling. His enthusiasm is infectious.

I don't know what a sick child would make of this, but I DO know that for this adult, it works. If I'm feeling sad, or blah, Skylar's voice - and the songs he's chosen - restores me to cheerfulness. Thank you, Skylar (and the parents who encouraged you and the record company that had the good sense to publish this!. We need more books and records that are truly joyous.

"Libby's joyous times at Sibton Park make you laugh out loud" (child's review; adults gave the book two prizes for excellence in children's books, and Booklist gave it a starred review)
