I love the way the daily readings are organized. With sequenced readings from the Old Testament, New Testament, a Psalm and a Proverb, it makes for a nice variety for daily devotions. It takes about 15 minutes to read through each day. With the way this is laid out, there is no excuse for, "I don't have time to read the Bible everyday!" It also makes a great gift. I originally bought the NIV compact edition, which I still use when I travel, but I bought the NLT slim line large print version so I can read it without my glasses...still not as large print as most large print Bibles, but definitely easier to read than the small print in the compact. I also like the NLT for daily readings because it just seems to flow better for reading than the NIV, although I like the NIV and NASB for in depth study.

Picked this item up for the New Year. Our church has gone through it over the last couple years and I figured I would finally get one. First of all, the price is great! Second, don't feel like you've gone down the path of the old folks by picking up the LARGE PRINT version. I am in my 30's with perfect vision and only got the large print version becase I planned to read it in bed with low light. I'm glad I did. This will be perfect to read in the evenings without being strange to look at. I look forward to getting through the entre Bible this year thanks to this book!

A wonderfully easy way to actually read throught the whole bible.
I also love the "One Year Bible Companion" which explains the history
customs around the events I was reading about. I also love the new
slimmer size of the book.

This is a great Bible to encourage daily Bible reading as it is organized by date. Each day has OT reading, NT reading, a portion of a Psalm and a verse from Proverbs and is about 10-15 minutes of reading. It has easy-to-read print as well. I love the New Living Translation as it is easy to understand but is still close to the original. I really don't like to read any other translation.

I am on my third time through--using this bible as a "guide" for when something isn't clear because of translation issues with my NIV. It is just terrific.

This was a gift to a person with visual impairment. The book was not a "large print" but a larger print and not usable.

Easy reading to understand. Our bible study with Pat Morley is doing this version and it makes it easy for me to follow.

This is such a great format for reading the Bible. I used to flip open my bible for reading. Now I open to today's date and look for what God is saying to me today. Seriously. I have been reading the bible for over 30 years but it wasn't until the last 3 years of reading the One Year Bible that I have read consistently. I strongly suggest the New Living Translation as it is one of the best for accuracy. It reminds of me of how everyone reads their fortune cookie at the end of their meal...this bible makes you want to read what God is saying to you that day. Great gift for friends as you are all reading the same passages and can encourage one another to stay in the Word. Try it! You'll like it!!

This has been a great book to have to know that I will complete the bible in one year. Each day just read the daily portion and you will complete the bible in the year as stated. It is Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs, and progresses each day. Well worth the investment. The cover could be a little bit thicker though for durability.
