I was looking for a devotional book that offered more than mere platitudes and more than dry as dust reflections. "Worship the King" is a devotional with substance. It delivers theological insights (Tiegreen calls them 'In Word') as well as practical applications ('In Deed'). The 'In Word' paragraphs are insightful, biblical and thought-provoking. The 'In Deed' applications are a shade more cognitive than I was looking for. Overall though this is a most helpful addition to my devotional library.

I have had countless devotionals over the years. Finally, I found the one that helps me to truly worship God in Spirit and Truth unlike any other. This devotional is reflective, inspiring and very insightful. I am so blessed by this author's gift of writing and wisdom. There is one page for each day of the year. It has a relevant worship scripture right under the title. There is another scripture reference under the date (God for further study). Under that is an inspiring quote. The first part is called "In Word" where the author immediately engages the reader and helps him/her to connect and reflect on the Word. Following is the "In Deed" section where you are inspired to receive the Word, apply it to your life and worship the King! I highly recommend this devotional to anyone who really wants make their devotional time of worship truly meaningful and worthwhile.

I was given one of these as a gift. I loved it so much that I bought one for my son. It's well written, thought provoking and especially appropriate for persons involved in the worship ministry of their church. I would highly recommend this product!

Chris Tiegren speaks to where we live and we are brought face-to-face with God's Word and what is going on in our hearts. It's life changing, as all of Tiegren's devotionals are.

I needed this book in time for a trip I was making, and it came in good time.
