I read this book every day and have found it to be an inspiration and guide. I will buy it for gifts at Christmas and reread it for years to come. I'm so glad I bought it. I would suggest that anyone who wants to read the Bible and have suggestions for daily guidelines purchase and read this book each day. I'm enjoying it very much.

The book was in great condition. It was just what I ordered. This is an awesome book to use as a bible study tool and daily devotional. It is a great book to use in studying the entire bible for the first time (in one year). It makes studying the old testament so simple and the personal application relates each story, chapter, verse and character to everyday life situations. It also has prayer points derived from bible passages.

I first used this book to help me understand and read the Bible in a year when I was 16. I LOVED this book so much I decided to do it again (10 years later). I love how after each days reading it helps explain and apply what you have read to your everyday life!

I love the fact that this devotional has three sections per topic - 1st part is an opening thought for the devotional and prepping you for what is coming up - guiding our thoughts in the process. 2nd part is the scripture - all of it that applies to the devotional - right there;and Part 3 is the closing thought with questions that lead you to "change". At the top of the page with the scripture is also a suggestion to read surrounding passages - by the end of the year - you have grown and have experienced fulfilling devotionals and you would have also read the entire bible- AWESOME! I lost my first copy which I bought on the "book ship - LOGOS - when it stopped in Jamaica some years ago. I had to get another copy...and I'm very glad I did. I told everybody about it...and a few I believe even ordered their own copy - you can too.

Amazon.com made the search easy...I'm a satisfied customer on both accounts.

This devotional has changed my way of how I study scriptures and how they can be applied to my Everyday Life in a positive way. I have recommended and given this book as a gift to those desiring to know God on a more personal level, but not knowing how to do it.

I am not one to just sit down and open the Bible hoping to find the right scripture, but rather I am one who needs structure to help me study God's Word (even with the guidance of the Holy Spirit (Ghost)). I started out by reading the preview, then the scripture reading, and finally the personal application. So, this was the book for me. It was also a great guide to help attain my goal of "Reading the Bible In A Year" in the order of how the scriptures are structured...not jumping around like some other devotionals that I have reviewed do.

This guidebook and devotional is the best ever! I am and for majority of my life have been very much involved in the ministry in any church we attend(ed). So, I was very particular about what book would best suit my needs of spiritual growth. The great aspect of this book is that it is designed for a new believer or seasoned believer...it doesn't matter if you have known Christ for 1 month or 10 years. It ministers to everyone.

This book has not only changed my life, but also those whom I have recommended this book to. We have incorporated this devotional as a recommended reading for all who attend our "First-Time Members Orientation Class". We have received such an overwhelming positive response to this devotional and its impact on their spiritual lives. It has truly been a great tool in ministering others, teaching one how to establish a daily pattern of reading and studying the bible on a personal level.

If you are considering buying this book and really desire to enrich your spiritual life and walk with Christ...this is the book for you. I have spent countless days and hours searching for the right devotional that doesn't give you a person's opinions or interpretations but rather what the Bible actually says...a Word-based devotional...this is definitely the one!

This book helped me actually read and enjoy the entire Bible in a year. Unlike most devotional books, this one focuses your attention totally on the passage for the day. It includes an introduction to the passage, an interpretation, and an application for your daily life. In addition it has a condensed version of the day's verses.
One Year through the Bible enlightened and challenged me. Everything I've heard my entire life in church became clear and much more meaningful.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is overwhelmed at the thought of reading the entire Bible or anyone who is looking for a thought-provoking guide.

I have a lot of difficulty with the discipline of being in God's Word on a daily or near daily basis.

This devotional was an answer to prayer. If I read just the passages in the devotional, I will have sampled the Bible in a year's time. If I read the entire passages noted for each date, I will have read the entire Bible in a year. I suspect I will end up somewhere between the two as some days I read just the passage in the devotional and other days I complete the entire reading in my own Bible.

Each day's reading also includes an introductory paragraph and a paragraph about how the passage can be applied to everyday life.

For anyone who struggles with reading the Word on a regular basis and feels overwhelmed, I highly recommend this devotional.
