1.0 out of 5 stars A Rip Off
The 100 strips that I received had an expiration date of July/2009 which means this purchase was a waste of money. I was upset and disappointed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy from Bargin OTC!, November 15, 2009
By
This review is from: One touch Ultra Blue 50 Count (Health and Beauty)
First of all, One Touch Ultra test strips are an awesome product. The one star rating is for Bargin OTC and their lack of customer service. BUYER BEWARE!

I attempted to buy this product from Bargain OTC, but they completely canceled my order with out any reason given. When I inquired and respectfully stated my dissatisfaction for the situation and threatened to never do business with them again, the "president", Bryson Burkholder, replied with a nasty e-mail. He called me "slanderous" and accused me of "trying to capitalize on and not someone who was trying to establish a long term business relationship." I was attempting to buy their product... How else do you establish business relationships?

He also said, "People like you who threaten small businesses is why our country and economy are in such peril today."

So, if you don't want your orders randomly cancelled without explanation, or want to be accused of the country's problems... Don't buy from Bargain OTC. They obviously don't believe in the saying, "The customer is always right!"

1.0 out of 5 stars Expiration Date less than 3-4months, June 10, 2009
This review is from: One touch Ultra Blue 50 Count (Health and Beauty)
There's always a catch on buying discounted items. Based from my actual experience, the expiration date is less that 3-4 months. This is not publish during the ordering process. Good if you will be using this product at least once or twice a day so that you can consume it within 1-2 month period.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not happy, January 24, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: One touch Ultra Blue 50 Count (Health and Beauty)
We received the item in what looked like damaged shipping: a strip had already loosened its way out and fell out even before we opened the Amazon shipping packaging. The box it came in looked frayed and old. The expiry of the product was for April 2010, and the ones you get in the store right now are for April 2011 or later.
Thankfully the return process at Amazon was smooth enough. We ended up buying this product in the store, since the expiry date is a concern.

One Touch Ultra Fast Draw Test Strips, 50 Count

This product, which is used for diabetes diagnostic testing (blood sugar), was much less expensive than pharmacy prices. It is the same quality, except that this shipped product had only two months left until the expiration date printed on the box. Normally, the expiration is about 18 months in the future. I think this order (four boxes) was filled from rapidly expiring inventory.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Glucose Testing Strip, January 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: One touch Ultra Blue 50 Count (Health and Beauty)
Recently learning I was a Type 1 Diabetic made me dread all the finger stick testing I knew this diagnosis would include.

Thanks to my Medical Doctor for giving me a One Touch Ultra 2 that requires only a tiny drop of blood. The test strips "wicking" action helps make the entire procedure reasonably simple even for a Registered Nurse like me!

Love, love, love the Amazon product costs that beats the local pharmacies' prices by a landslide. Amazon shipping was even free.

Great strip, great buy!

I ordered One Touch Ultra strips through Amazon, choosing a supplier that showed the pharmacy box. When the order arrived, the product shipped was the "not for sale - internet sale only" box which is featured by other suppliers for substantially less than the pharmacy boxed variety. I used Amazon's resolution process to contact the supplier, but got no response. I then contacted Amazon, and to my surprise, they refunded me the entire cost of the order. I won't order from that supplier again, but I am certainly impressed by Amazon's action to remedy this situation, and will order through them again for sure.

3.0 out of 5 stars Save a couple of dollars and buy the mail-order version, July 27, 2009
This review is from: One touch Ultra Blue 50 Count (Health and Beauty)
Unless you need a pretty box, the mail order only version (One Touch Ultra Mail Order Test Strips, 50 CT) is exactly the same as these, but cheaper.

If you're paying for test strips yourself, you should look at the WaveSense meters. (See: Wavesense Keynote System Kit) The WaveSense strips are roughly $9 per box less expensive. If you're using 8-10 strips per day, that translates to a $1000+- savings each year. The WaveSense meters also claim to be more accurate than other systems.
