5.0 out of 5 stars Forgot About It But Glad I Got It
I forgot that I had put them on my wedding registry! So when I received a set of these as a wedding gift, I was pleasantly surprised. They have held up great throughout the years and I still absolutely love the simple, but elegant pattern to them. The butter knives are a good weight making them comfortable to use, I just wish they (the knives) didn't take up so much...

2.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy
I've owned this flatware for four years and have not been happy with the quality. All but the knives are thin guage metal. In fact, I've had to tell my children not to use the spoons for hard ice cream cups because they were bending. The surface has held up OK, with the exception of some minor marks from dishwasher detergents. I expected a better product from Oneida.

1.0 out of 5 stars Oneida Flight, January 11, 2009
This review is from: Oneida Flight 20-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Set, Service for 4 (Kitchen)
I already had a service for 8 in the Oneida Flight pattern. I needed more. While I was washing my new silverware, I was disappointed to find that the quality is not the same as my original pieces. I checked and Oneida no longer makes their product in the United States. OK, I accept that. What bothers me more is the quality is not nearly the same. Especially, with the knives the weight and even the design is different. If you did not own any of the Flight pattern previously, you might be satisfied. I am not.

5.0 out of 5 stars 3 years... still looks nice, October 24, 2004
This review is from: Oneida Flight 20-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Set, Service for 4 (Kitchen)
My husband and I registered for the Oneida flight pattern. We just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. I'm very happy with the weight of the product. Forks never bend, spoons only do a tad when I try to pry really really hard ice cream out of the container.. but I should really be using an ice cream dipper and not a spoon... so that's my fault. Showing a little wear... but I consider their wear perfectly acceptable. I am purchasing the Flight pattern for my inalws for Christmas.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Value, October 16, 2003

This flatware is a good value. Except for the knife, the handles are quite thin, but at this price, it's unrealistic to expect the heft and balance of expensive flatware. The finish has been very durable and this design is classic and simple without being boring. A great starter set for a new homeowner!

This flatware is very attractive but casual enough for everyday use. We bought 16 place settings for my parents. The price is right and the quality is impressive. Through Oneida individual pieces can be purchased to supplement the set.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the same as what you get from the Onieda company!!!!!, April 19, 2009

I had this set already and was ordering an additional set to add too it. The knives are thinner and all the items had a big fat made in china stamped on it. I was very disappointed with it. They don't feel like as good of quality as my original set direct from Oneida. I would recommend ordering direct from the company because if you order here, you are not getting the same quality. I'm sure nobody else would notice the difference but me, however, it is really upsetting to know I could have gotten flatware that matched exactly what I already owned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, Nice, Durable, September 4, 2004

7 years of use, and I still love my Oneida flatware. The pieces I use every day have lost some luster, being casually thrown in the sink after use. But they're not bent or deformed. Of course I don't have children, either. They still look nice enough for family holiday celebrations (so I don't have to crack out the hand-wash-only antique silverware). And a beautiful classic style that isn't out-of-date.

It's too bad, because the lines of them are nice - not too frou-frou, not too cold. We've had the set for about four years, and the knives have started to separate in the middle, where the handle meets the blade. Not much holds the two parts together, so it appears. Terribly annoying if you just want to spread some cream cheese on your morning bagel and the blade starts spinning around. More importantly, it's terribly unsafe if you've got little ones.

I also expected this flatware to match an earlier purchase. It doesn't. Apparently a better set is no longer available. I would have preferred to pay more for matching quality.
