My wife and I registered for this pattern more than 10 years ago, and recieved service for 8. 4 kids later and numerous dinners, picnics, parties and bowls of cereal at midnight, I was thrilled to discover that we could re-order our dwindiling supply in the same pattern. I love the substantial feel in the hand, the smooth all arround finish, the great mouth feel, I love this pattern as much now as I did a decade ago. They have held up beautifully, still shining after as much abuse as a family of 6 can bestow, this is a very good value!

Last year we gave away all our mismatched kitchen stainless and got 16 place settings and 2 sets of serving pieces in "American Harmony" by Oneida - just in time for a family reunion.

The women of the family tell me that this pattern is a recasting of an old silverplate flatware pattern, "Silver Arbor" (or something like that). It appears to use the old silverplate molds, making this pattern nicer than your average kitchen flatware: fine detailing at the bottoms of the handles on all pieces, and also on the backs of the forks and spoons; traditional hollow handles on the knives; gentle, traditional inward curves on the backs of the forks and spoons, which makes them comfortable to hold.

The sugar spoon in our set even has a traditional seashell-style bowl shape - nicely impressive as a jelly or cranberry sauce server. Our family also appreciates the larger-than-normal soup spoons in our set, which occasionally double as small serving pieces.

If you want a set of flatware that you can use for a backyard picnic as well as for a fancy feast, with pottery and with good china, this is an excellent choice. And it won't break the budget, even if you have to get 16 place settings!

I have used this pattern in my catering business for the last 6 years. With all of the use and misuse it gets, I have to say it has outlived my expectations! It does scratch (as any stainless flatware) however superficial and unoffensive. It is a great buy and the pattern will go with many china and earthenware patterns. It is a decent weight, easy to handle (you know how some flatware doesn't feel user friendly)and the knives cut well. If it can withstand hundreds of pieces thrown in a bus tub and come out looking good for the next event, It has my vote!!

I was definitely expecting something with a little more heft. This flatware is light and seems almost fragile. For $40, though, I guess this is a good buy. But next time I'll definitely buy my silverware from a store, or at least check them out in a store so I can get a better feel for them.

I'm not a dinnerware expert but I've had these for eight years and they still look like new. I ordered more to have a matching set at big dinner parties. I was glad this particular style was still available --an enduring, classic look. They are easy to use, heavy enough to feel substantial but also easy for little kids to use. I'm happy with the product and the price.

Had bought this same set at a local Oneida outlet store but only bought one set. Love the quality and look and feel of this flatware. They've been run through the dishwasher countless number of times and it still looks like new. Couldn't find it locally anymore so I turned to the Internet. The name was different but thanks to reviews and such, took a chance that they were right in that this is the same set as the original one I bought and it was.

You can't get much better than free. I love Oneida brand and this pattern is prefect for everyday and formal dining. I got this set free because I ordered the 53 piece set, (for a good price and free shipping). Now I have enough to have not have to hand wash between loads in the dishwasher.

I own flatware in this pattern but have lost several pieces.
This is the same pattern, so the flatware matched exactly and filled out my set.

Purchased this setting as 'extra's for the holidays.
Good value. Feels 'nice' in the hand, not too heavy, but weighty enough to feel 'quality'.
