I love this flatware - It looks like super expensive silverware and is weighted perfectly.

This style flatware provides a simple elegance when entertaining, or as attractive day to day serviceware. They have a nice weight to them, balanced handling and are comfortable to use. They are prone to spotting a bit after going through the dishwasher. It simply reguires a soft rubbing with a dish towel to bring them back to their original sheen when setting them out for guests to use. Manufacturer enclosed directions were handy to instruct how to properly care for this flatware. Overall a satisfying purchase.

The flatware I purchased was flawless.The design is clean and colonial.It is the perfect flatware for my New England home.It is durable and strong,yet shiny and very substantial.

This is really high quality, good looking flatware. It looks classy and stands up well to a lot of use. I recommend this to anyone.

My original of this is about 12 years old and I'm delighted to add more place settings of the same design. My only reservation is that there are very slight differences from my earlier pieces (e.g. thickness of the knife handle, Oneida logo placement).

The Oneida Colonial Boston 24-Piece flatware set more than met our expectations. In fact, we bought several sets we liked it so well.

The flatware is high-quality, the right weight and size, and makes our table look out of the ordinary.

The look is somewhat plain but I don't like anything ornate. It looks excellent with everyday tableware and also with my more expensive tableware.

If you like the look of this flatware, then you won't disappointed in the quality of the product.

Seeking a new flatware set, i bought this product based on the other reviews, the fact that it is 18/8 stainless, said it was corrosion resistant, and the Oneida reputation. I bought it in April 07.

Altho i like the look and feel/heft/balance of the product, i am very disappointed that after only 2 years, the handles are pitted and stained ... not horribly yet, but enough to make me regret buying this set. It will get nothing but worse. I really expected it to last MUCH longer.

We are a small family: there are only 2 of us. The dishwasher is run about 5 times a week, not daily. Because i don't run it daily, i rinse everything off before loading into the dishwasher. I use a standard detergent (Electrasol tabs with built-in spot preventer), and usually use the short cycle, without heated drying (i open the dishwasher and let it air-dry overnight to save energy.) So the flatware is NOT subjected to abnormal use.

I am not pleased with the longevity of this product.

We recently got service for 12 (12 placesettings + serving pieces), purchased sight-unseen from the Oneida website, and we love it. We figured we could return it if we weren't pleased but we will definitely be keeping it.

It's not as heavy as some of the more expensive grades but it's not at all like cheap flatware--the edges are finished nicely and the pieces are pleasant to use. The knife handles are solid and heavy (in a good way); our 1960's Frostfire set was very nice but had lightweight hollow knife handles. I suppose the spoons are a bit slender and might not pass the "frozen ice cream test", but why are you digging in hard ice cream with a spoon? Get an ice cream scoop, for crying out loud! I've never bent a spoon under normal use, anyway.

The style looks good with pretty much everything, from my grandmother's blue transfer china to my mother's Jadeite to modern tableware. The spoons are a nice size--some soup spoons are so big you can hardly get them in your mouth, or the bowls are too deep or are oddly shaped. These are just right.

I thought this silverware was a great deal so I got a setting for 8. I like the pattern but when it came, there were 2 knives that had defects on the handle. I called customer service and they immediately sent me two to replace the defective ones. Sadly, I have now noticed that there is another defect on a spoon. I've had good experiences with Oneida before but I'm not overly pleased with this product.
