Unlike the flatware set I purchased from Amazon, the serve set is from the Oneida company. I already had one set, but ordered an additional set because it never seemed like I had enough spoons to serve with at the table. My only issue was the fact that even though the picture showed to large serve spoons exactly the same and un-pierced, the item description says one of the is a pierced spoon but that is not the case, which is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. Not a big deal really, but if you're ordering and expecting to get a pierced spoon in the set just know you will not. Great quality from Oneida as usual though.

I agree with the others - the description does not match the image, so if I were ordering, I'd be confused. If you are considering this item, you might want to check with the seller to see what is actually included in this listing.

That said, I have the set pictured (meat fork, two large serving spoons, butter knife, sugar spoon), as well as the matching "Flight" flatware set. I got them for Christmas about 16 years ago, and I LOVE them. The Flight line by Oneida is very sturdy - perfect for every day use - and the style is really timeless. The price (as of 1/13/2010) is great, and the quality is much better than what you'd expect to get for this price.

I was surprised by the quality of these serving pieces. They are really nice and looked great on our holiday buffet table. They look as good as my nice silverware. I will be buying a second set of these. They are really nice. You will be happy to have these.

This is a basic serving set that will go well with many patterns. Substantial weight and seems to be made well. Good value.

These are very nice serving pieces. They match the flatware that we purchased so we can't really complain about how they look. They have a nice weight and appear to be all one solid piece, which is nice because they probably won't fall apart in 5 years.

I thought that this silverware would end up being a cheap stamped set with little heft to the pieces. In fact, it feels like a very high quality set of well-constructed silverware. I've been very pleased with them. One thing that is not apparent from the write-up is that the set comes with server pieces, so it may not be necessary to buy a separate serving set as I did.

I wanted to replace our old mismatched service of odds and ends with something I would use everyday. I have a very nice set for family gatherings.

Well, I really like the sturdiness and shine of this service set. Very nice and have been using it for over a month and it looks new. The forks and spoons do not bend like some of the cheaper sets.

I recommend this to anyone who is looking for quality at an affordable price.

These utensils help to complete my Flight flatwear ensemble. Now, if Amazon and Oneida would link up and offer the other utensils, like the place forks (set of 4) and the place knifes (set of 4), I would get more of the place spoons (not teaspoons) to complete my table options.

The fork and the spreading knife are not so much on the sound level as the others, but the spoons???? MAN!!! Those spoons can JAM!!! I sit on my front porch, and Meemaw gets her banjo, and together we get to strummin and clackin, and the kids just go crazy out in the yard! The neighbors even come over because they say my spoon playing is the best they've heard since Jim Bob McCluckens played the 4H fair 4 years ago up at the Ag Center. I used to be average on the spoons until I got this fancy high-dollar set. My wife was even set to leave me for a guy that played bucket drums because she said he gave her banjo that something extra that even made her hearing aids stop squealing. Now, Meemaw says I could get the angels to stompin with my beautiful rhythms and has moved back into the trailer.

Thank you Oneida for making my life have meaning again.
