I bought these for my fiance thinking they would be better for baking in. I was very very wrong. I should have taken the recipe she cooked as a warning and returned them immediately, but I thought "maybe we overfilled them". The bread cooked ok, although the cooking time was much longer than expected, after letting the bread cool we ran into problem #2 the steel pan top has a square opening, when you fill the silicone pan the sides bulge and when the bread cooks it won't fit back through the square without either forcing it or trimming it with a knife which is very annoying and ruins the look of the loaf. The second time we cooked with them we ran into problem #3 this time the sides collapsed in the middle of baking and we ended up with a very messy oven and no bread. :( at this point I threw the pans away. I can not believe a product such as this even made it to market, it was pitiful.
