5.0 out of 5 stars Great place setting!
I've owned this product for over 5 years now and haven't had a single problem with them. They still look great! I've added one more set to my collection over the years and hope to get a few more when I get my house this summer. I think this is a great product.

1.0 out of 5 stars It rusts
I looked for some reasonably priced, non-pretentious stainless steel flatware. The Oneida stuff seemed to fit the bill nicely, and was generally highly praised by reviewers. There is a bunch of reviews for the "boston colonial" style of the same set, and the consensus is that it's a pretty decent product. Only the last review had 1-star rating, and the author explained...

Only the last review had 1-star rating, and the author explained that Oneida changed the formulation of the steel from "18/10" to "18/0". The difference is that 18/10 steel is more expensive and truly stainless, while 18/0 is cheaper, and rusts. I dismissed the review thinking that the company would not be so unethical as to market stuff as stainless when it's not. Boy, was I wrong. After couple times in the dishwasher I see brown spots on spoons and forks...

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and attractive, February 4, 2009
This review is from: Oneida Simba 20-Piece Set, Service for 4 (Kitchen)
I have used this set for over three years, and I have been very pleased. All of the pieces are very sturdy, which is a must for me and I think that the brushed matte handles are very classy. I have had no problems with rust at all. My pieces are labeled 18/0.

I am buying more so that I have a bigger set for when I get married this summer. I am happy to use this for many years to come.
