When I saw this set I thought it would be an excellent casual set. I doubt I will ever purchase a flatware set with handles again.

Pros:

-The handles add a cute, casual and colorful look to your table.
-The set is inexpensive.
-Has the Oneida name.

Cons:

-I experienced rusting with a few random pieces in the set after just one handwashing!
-Handles take up extra room in your dishwasher's caddy or your dish drainer.
-I find the handles to be somewhat clumsy.

On a plus side, I wrote to Oneida about the rusting problem. I was informed that while the Color Trends line does not have a warranty, Oneida Silversmiths stands behind their products and would gladly replace the damaged pieces.

Honestly, unless you are truely in love with the design or the colors or the prices, I would rather invest in an all stainless set.

I don't find the knives to be dull, I notice some reviewers have mentioned that they felt the knives were dull. I am not going to dipute that because I suppose it is a matter of opinion. I thought they were fine.

this flatware is great, heavy, solid, not cheezy . Am thrilled with it, now I'd like to find serving ware that matches the table flatware.

I have had this set from Oneida for over two years and have not had a single rusting problem with them. The knives may not cut steak well, but you should really invest in some steak knives anyway. The thick handles give a nice heft to the set and they work well in casual situations. I'm ordering a second set today!

Very sturdy and colorful. I have looked at cheap sets at some stores, but with the Oneida name, you know it will be made to last.

I have owned two sets of this flatware (navy and green) for more than two years and I'm totally satisfied. We have subjected them to daily use and wash them by hand (no dishwasher, alas, in my kitchen). They have held up very well, no rust anywhere that I can see. The handles show a bit of wear but they're plastic, after all, and that should be expected. I'm buying another set now to replace the ones we've inadvertently tossed in the trash.

The only caveat I would add is that some individual pieces are on the small side. The regular fork, knife and large spoon are fine. But the teaspoon and salad fork are somewhat smaller than you would expect. Great for households with young children, I guess! For the price, these can't be beat.

I ordered this flatware set for my new apartment and couldn't be happier. The flatware is extremely solid and durable, does not bend or anything like that, and overall feels like quality.

I highly recommend this set to anyone, and the price is right.

I love my Onieda color trends silverware, its great in the dishwasher, and after 2 years has yet to break or show any signs of wear! I though Oneida had discontinued this line of silverware, but finding it at Amazon is great! I am going to buy two more sets of four as soon as I can!

This is a good flatware set at good amazon prices. Having had Ikea flatware sets in the past I would say this set is of a slightly better quality. The metal shine hasn't faded after 6 months of use and they haven't split from the plastic handles. My only complaint is the three tell-tale plastic holes in the handle that remind you of how cheaply flatware is made these days.

This is a great first set of silverware. Its cheap price and colors are very attractive. However, even though they have rivets, they tend to rust around the rivets when left exposed to water longer than a few minutes. You get what you pay for so if you like the color they are worth it.

This set is simply awesome - the pieces are weighty and have a high quality fit and finish. Don't let the low price fool you - this flatware looks & feels much more up market. I have friends who have spent big money on their flatware who perfer my Oneida. I bought the black set and it looks very classy and has held up excellent in the diswasher. I will say however that you'll want to also invest in a good set of steak knives - the knives with this set aren't good for much more than spreading butter or jam.
