Great Adventure!,
By Steven Macon (Radford, Virginia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Oneprince (Hardcover)
This is a gem of a story that a friend of mine recommend to me some years ago. Through the presistance of that friend I was also able to read the sequel before it was published and to learn a little bit about the making of the story and the man responsible for its life. This is a fine tale of a young boy who doesn't want to be king, a talking rat and a villian with designs on more than a little kingdom... So the adventure begins... Bill Hand has crafted a story in the fine tradition of Tolkien and CS Lewis... It will cause the reader to laugh, cry, and sometimes leave one breathless as young Quad and Friend Rat venture out in search for the OnePrince, who is the only hope for the kingdom... Look beyond the tale to the Truth behind the legend. Remember Bill Hand, I'm sure the future holds many more tales for Quad and Friend Rat.

This is a good book for anyone who likes Science Fiction.,
By "magpietreenie" (Wilmington, Ohio) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Oneprince (Paperback)
Bill Hand combines romance, comedy, fantasy, and action in this book. I would not be afraid to let my fourteen-year-old brother read this. Some of the names are a little hard to pronounce, but that doesn't detract from the storyline. The only problem I have ever had with this book is that I don't want to put it down without finishing it!

Hilarious!,
This review is from: The Oneprince (Hardcover)
Oneprince dealt with many serious biblical parallels. But its hilarious dialogue complemented the depth in the story. This is the kind of novel that should be turned into a movie.

A Real Cliff Hanger,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Oneprince (Paperback)
Bill Hand has written an excellent book about far-offlands and daring fights that would make the most of us cower in fear. If I didn't know better, I could say that this story was real, and this could actually happen.I have only one complaint!!! What happens afterward???? Does the Oneprince help them save the kingdom? What happens to the Ruby Scion? Quite disappointing in that area! If anyone has any leads if there is a second book...give me a hint.

I'm not going to go into depth about how much I loved this book and why since I read it years ago. However, my copy of the book said that there was suppose to be a sequal. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Did he never write it??? :-(

I read ONEPRINCE 6 years ago, for the very first time, and couldn't put it down. When I couldn't find the sequel, I read the first one over and over again. My congratulations to the author on a job well done!

Fabulous Christian Fantasy,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Oneprince (Paperback)
"As an avid reader and especially as a fantasy lover, I thoroughly enjoyed Bill Hand's ' The Oneprince '. It is a just a fun book to read and the allegory is wonderful. Only three authors have made me chuckle out loud while reading : Mark Twain, David Eddings, and Bill Hand. That's pretty impressive company. I am going to make sure that all three of my sons read this book and I am going to get several copies as gifts for friends who love fantasy. You can bet I'll be the first on the list to get any other books written by Bill Hand.."

Excellent christian fantasy, much like a cs lewis Chronicals of Narnia. Rich characters and creative identities. Plot innovative and well thought out. Definitely entertaining. Bit slow in the beginning.

Impressive,

Mr. Hand displays a lively since of humor as well as considerable talent as a storyteller with his book, "The Oneprince." In my opinion, the first half was better, the characters seemed to lose personality in the second half. In closing, this is one of the best Christian fantasy books since the Chronicles of Narnia and I highly recommend it.

A great book!,

This review is from: The Oneprince (The Redaemian Chronicles, Book 1) (Paperback)
I first read the Oneprince 4 years ago and going back and reading it again I still love it as much as ever. Quad and Gregor, Narramoore, the Honor Guard, Friend Rat and Nellie are all very real and vibrant characters. The dark lord is sinister yet funny and Solofaust is the perfect villain. I've been waiting for a sequel but it seems that Mr. Hand has stopped writing this series. If anyone has any information on this I'd love to know.
