This review can be summed very concisely: this is a display sword, in the sense that it is meant to be looked at. If you never intend to pick it up, especially by the hilt (very poor, loose construction), it's mostly quite passable. The texture on the blade is a bad paint job, however, not the leathery texturing implied by product images. The blade is also more pointed than the images show.

Enough of the cons though: this thing is a MONSTER. Having swung my fair share of blades, even display ones, I know that this sword is closer to a battle-axe in weight distribution and density. It's not big enough to look scary just standing in a corner, but it's disturbingly thick and just radiates a sense of weight. The tiny display stand provided just doesn't work, placing the thing on it made the arms bow outward and splintered the center shaft. Currently it stands in a corner and draws attention. And, y'know, that's fine by me.

No scabbard is included, the display stand is trash, and the blade itself is wobbly and far too heavy to be usable for, say, a live-action prop. But it's an okay representation of the Onimusha 3 blades, and dominates any space it occupies through sheer mass. If the above sounds like something you want, get it.
