|HT-S6500 5.1-Channel Network A/V Receiver/Speaker Package|
Revitalize Your Home EntertainmentThe HT-S6500 is a feature-packed system that's simple to install and operate. Connect a LAN cable—or optional Wireless LAN adapter—to access music on any PC connected to the network. Internet radio and music streaming are all a few button presses away, with audio delivered through the receiver's WRAT amplifier and quality two-way speakers. A frontside USB port, meanwhile, connects your iPod®, iPhone®, or music-filled flash-memory device. A total of seven HDMI® ports integrate all your high-definition components, and enable Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio™, 3D video, and an ARC for TV audio through the home theater. You can also switch HDMI inputs easily, with InstaPrevue™ technology providing video thumbnails of available content instead of just a port number. The user-friendly GUI has overlaid setup menus for fast in-program adjustment, and you can control the system using an iPod touch/iPhone or Android phone or Kindle Fire. Calibrated by Audyssey's 2EQ® room acoustic correction system, the gloss-finished speakers deliver clear, well-balanced sound, while the active subwoofer adds powerful low-frequency impact. This package is an affordable way to experience the excitement of surround sound.
Stream Audio and Internet Radio: 3 Ways to ConnectStream music stored in a cellphone, personal computer or tablet through your Onkyo network receiver wirelessly with the NEW UBT-1 Bluetooth USB Adapter; connect to your home's network using the UWF-1 Wireless USB LAN Adapter* or directly connect to your home's network via a standard Ethernet cable. This receiver plays many formats, including MP3, AAC, FLAC, and WMA Lossless, and supports a host of internet radio services such as Pandora®, Slacker™, SIRIUS XM Internet Radio®, Last.fm, and vTuner, plus cloud-based music streaming from Rhapsody, Spotify, and AUPEO!**.

Free Apps: Seamless Control & StreamingThe Onkyo Remote App 2 for iPod touch/iPhone¹ and Onkyo Remote for Android² and Kindle Fire provide an intuitive way to operate Onkyo network A/V receivers. Control input sources, adjust settings, and stream† audio stored in a smartphone wirelessly using the application's interactive graphical display. The Remote Apps are available separately as free downloads.

Easy Access For Settings ChangesThe HT-S6500's overlaid On-Screen Display (OSD) feature makes changing the settings on your A/V receiver quick and easy. On-screen set-up menus appear over the video image you're watching so you can adjust the settings immediately, without having to stop the program and switch to a different screen to access menus.
InstaPrevue Technology for Instant, Easy SelectionThe HT-S6500 incorporates InstaPrevue visual port management technology, making input source selection much easier. InstaPrevue technology provides a live video thumbnail of the available content on your devices connected via HDMI. You no longer have to remember that your gaming console is connected to Port 3, or your Blu-ray player to Port 1, for example: you can see what's playing and choose accordingly.
The Cleanest Your iPod Can SoundThe direct digital connection of the front-panel USB port lets you play MP3 and AAC stored in an iPod/iPhone, and MP3, WMA, AAC, and FLAC audio files stored on a flash-memory device, and you can use the system's own remote for track selection and playback.
Your music will sound much cleaner and clearer, as the audio signal is transported in digital rather than analog form through the direct digital connection.
The Onkyo Remote is Preset to Control Apple TVHave an Apple TV? Use it with your Onkyo Network AVR. It's all integrated; it all works together beautifully.
ONKYO's WRAT Amplifier Technology & A Perfectly Matched Speaker SetWRAT improves the fidelity of amplified audio and reduces noise across the frequency range, guaranteeing a well-balanced performance even with the most dynamic soundtracks. A carefully matched Onkyo speaker set delivers clear, dynamic audio reproduction. Floor-standing two-way front speakers feature twin 3 1/4" (8 cm) woofers for excellent mid-range response, plus a balanced-dome tweeter for clean, well-separated highs. The center speaker also boasts twin woofers and tweeter, while each satellite utilizes a dynamic full-range driver. A powered subwoofer adds bottom-end impact, yet is energy efficient, drawing 80 percent less power than the model it replaces.
Audyssey Room Correction: You'll Hear the Difference(1) Audyssey 2EQ tailors multi-channel audio for your home theater speaker set-up by measuring three room positions and applying a resolution filter to the satellite speakers to correct for room acoustics.
(2) Audyssey Dynamic EQ® maintains a consistent bass response, tonal balance, and surround-sound effect at different volume levels, so you can enjoy the natural dynamics of your content regardless of the volume.
(3) Audyssey Dynamic Volume® automatically compensates for volume fluctuations in different audio content -for example, during commercial breaks- while optimizing the dynamic range.
