Dille starts with a survey of top gaming sites and services. He then groups dozens of online games by genre, including Action and Arcade, Card and Board Games, Simulations, Strategy Games, and more. Each game listing tells what the game is about, how many people can play, where to go online to play, and what hardware and software is required. Listings also include hints, tricks, and tips and--best of all--related Web sites put up by ardent fans and players.

Dille also discusses the gamers themselves and features an interesting section on the communities and associations that grow up around gaming. The included CD-ROM contains free sign-up kits for the major online gaming sites and software or demo versions of more than 30 multiplayer games.
