There is so much information in this book about managing your reputation, and how corporations, politicians, and small business can use the tools online to monitor and correct their reputation. We all need to be meticulous and understand that there are people saying stuff about us. Lets manage what is out there about our business. The author covers everything from hiring a virtual assistant to using online tools to see what others are saying about you. This book cover information about websites, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and the list goes on and on. I'll have this in my library for a while

I am just starting out with my own brand. I know that social media and online marketing is important but beyond getting my website up and Facebooking to my friends, I've had no idea where to go next. It's highly competitive out there and extremely confusing. I've found it overwhelming to sift through all of the information I have found online.

I had a friend introduce me to Online Reputation Management For Dummies. I knew I qualified for the book. The real question was could it help me? I received my copy a couple of weeks ago and haven't had a chance to read it cover to cover. I have started it and found it so helpful that I have to put it down, before I finish whatever chapter I am on. I am that eager to begin implementing the concepts from the book.

What I didn't expect; it has become a workbook for me. Like a good friend holding my hand saying "ok this is what it is like out there and here is what you can do". The knowledge and concepts are organized and presented in such a way it is easy to understand and follow. I've not finished the book and have reaped tremendous benefits and education. I would definitely recommend this book.

It is hard to believe this book is just coming out now, when the blogosphere and facebook craze has been in full effect forever now, and businesses are stuck in the mud without some sort of effective internet presence. I have been waiting for this book to come out for a while now. She breaks down how to manage yourself online very clearly, and if you follow these guidelines and tips it is easy to see how they work--I had been doing some things on my facebook page that were hindering my business growth and didn't even realize it-reading this makes it seem obvious. If you have have a blog or webpage, it will show you how to reach a wider audience, and quickly. There is a science to everything, and this is the book for the science of social networking and managing your business and reputation online. This should be standard reading for anyone putting themselves out there online, for anyone in business school...and maybe even anyone with a facebook page.

Anyone serious about their online identity or online reputation management, take note! Author Lori Randall Stradtman has given you exactly what you need in "Online Reputation Management for Dummies." The more I study this book, the more I'm amazed over how clearly she shows me how to [easily] manage a wide scope of Internet issues I'd always avoided lest I boggle my brain or burn far too many online hours--including guarding against personal and social media identity theft, online crisis management, and laying stake to your brand online...plus resources and tools for monitoring your social influence. I now see my mistake! Buying this book was a savvy investment because ALL my online projects can benefit from learning and practicing the skills it imparts (plus embracing the author's Internet philosophy)! Entrepreneurs, authors, lifestyle coaches...anyone who cares about their online name and presence should definitely consider benefiting from Lori Stradtman's considerable expertise.

This is a very well-written, easy-to-read presentation of detailed and profound information for anyone who has any presence in the digital world. Before reading this book, I would have told you I was just a casual user of social media and email. Now, I realize that I am my own brand, whether I like it or not, and that it is not only my responsibility to monitor what information may be known/shared/spread about me online, but I have the unique opportunity to apply some savvy to ensure that how I'm represented online matches and agrees with who I am in real life. I also learned valuable tips for how to be proactive to protect my identity and personal information. That said, information shared in this book was clearly well-researched and provides a cautionary tale for the younger generation who, having come of age using this technology, still lacks the maturity to realize the far-reaching impact of their online presence/antics. Wisdom must still be applied to knowledge in order to properly use tools, especially technology! Consider this a "must-have handbook" and get one into the hands of every teenager you know!

This is an incredible book on managing your reputation online. In reviewing the book I can tell that the author has gone to great lengths to research the material and put it into practice. Because I own a business and much of my marketing is online, it's very important to know how to maximize the number of people who are both made aware of my business and to make sure that what I put out there is a positive representation. There are so many modes of communication these days on the web and it's very difficult to manage all the sources. This book is a fantastic resource for all business owners in this day and age. I'm amazed at all the information that the author was able to put into this book... and it is broken down so easily and concisely for the reader. I highly recommend it to everyone with an online presence.
