It's not even understandable how Elizabeth falls in love with Mr. Darcy.

I love how PO Dixon keeps true to the characters we love while changing the story enough to enjoy a new romantic tale.

Oh my, what a delightfully intriguing story that captured my imagination and I couldn't put it down until I finished!

Elizabeth meets Georgiana while visiting Pemberely and the two become friends. When Darcy comes into Hertfordshire, almost a year later, Elizabeth hopes to finally meet her friend's brother. However the two seem to always miss each other by a heartbeat, but once two meet the sparks fly!!

Their "courtship" is filled with all the misunderstandings our favorite couple are known for. I adored how Georgiana tries to plays matchmaker for two of the most important people in her life! However Darcy and Elizabeth have to overcome their misunderstandings and prejudices to finally admit their love for each other.

This is one story that captured my heart and soul! Thanks to Ms. Dixon for another riveting adaptation of a most beloved book!!

I love Lizzy and Darcy, and I love what Dixon continually does to my beloved characters in her books.

This Pride and Prejudice what-if adaptation has an interesting twist. Elizabeth has a sprained ankle and is unable to meet Darcy at the Meryton Assembly. After seeing the awful Bennett display, Darcy advises Bingley on caution and then leaves Meryton, never to insult Elizabeth and later dance with her at the Netherfield ball! It seems a hopeless business. :) However never having met Fitzwilliam, Elizabeth does already have an acquaintance with Georgiana, as she met her strolling the grounds of Pemberley on a previous tour of the grounds with the Gardiners. Corresponding through letters with Miss Darcy, the pair become good friends. When Elizabeth goes to London with the Gardiners, she spends time with Georgiana and is soon thrown into the path of other rich men... including the handsome Mr. Darcy.

I love how PO Dixon keeps true to the characters we love while changing the story enough to enjoy a new romantic tale. As I was reading I thought everything was going to end so perfect no misunderstandings, no poor first impressions. She removed all obstacle... what could go wrong? Have no fear PO Dixon doesn't change our characters; they will behave true to form and provide enough wit, condescension, and angst for us all! What a mess they make of it.

The book is ok and the characters were loyal to the originals. But the story twists and the thought chains of the characters, sometimes and quite often, came too sudden and not smooth. For example, when Lizzy was thinking Wickham's description of Darcy was injustices, all of sudden, she totally believed it all to turn it all against Darcy. It seems to me while the author tried to put the many memorable scenes of Jane Austen's original into this variation, sometimes they became too odd to fit in or lacking some connections or sound story flow.
Ah, but don't misunderstand me that I think against P&P scenes in its variations, I do like some original scenes to be woven in the variations and that is one of the reasons we like to read P&P variations. Anyway, I would say Ms Dixon's "Bewitched, Body, Soul: Miss Elizabeth Bennet" is much better and enjoyable than this.

I found this a well written book that somehow lacked depth in the storyline. A pleasant read and a lot better than some poorly written Pride and Prejudice variations found lately. Ms Dixon always produces a great book and should be congratulated for her endeavors.

I have read many of Dixon's books & I think this one is my least favorite. It is not a bad book, l just don't think it is up to her usual standards. It was enjoyable & worth the read. I was just a little disappointed.

It was alright...I read it in one sitting but don't think I would read it again. Also, what was the point of including Mr. Caseman? (Spoiler... I guess)Yeah, he was the reason Elizabeth is looking for "the one" but when he finally shows up he's gone in a second. I would have liked him to be appealing; a possible rival to Mr. Darcy. There were times when I was really into the book and others I was unimpressed. It's not horrible, I've read far worse P&P adaptations.

Elizabeth doesn't go to the Meryton Assembly due to a sprained ankle. However, she becomes friends with Georgiana before she knows Darcy. This is a twist from the original P&P. Some of the usual things take place like in the original ie: Aunt Catherine shows up and causes the same problem however Mr.Bennet does ask her to leave which is a little different from the Jane Austen story..But before that happens Darcy does tell his Aunt not to talk to his betrothed and she leaves in a huff! The basis of this story is that Georgiana is the one that is matchmaking her brother to Lizzy.

I was a little disappointed in this one. The author has better books available.
There was not much new or exciting here. Just more of the same old stuff.
The words were shuffled around a little without much results.
