5.0 out of 5 stars Fifth Book in the SVH Senior Year Series
After their first kiss in "I've Got a Secret" (#4), Conner McDermott and Elizabeth Wakefield are struggling with their emotions for each other, especially since Liz's friend (Maria Slater) is still hung-up on Conner, even though he dumped her a week ago. Nevertheless, Maria aims to win him back no matter what.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Aames is still infatuated with Jessica...

5.0 out of 5 stars Fifth Book in the SVH Senior Year Series, February 26, 2002

This review is from: If You Only Knew (Sweet Valley High Sr. Year(TM)) (Mass Market Paperback)

Meanwhile, Jeremy Aames is still infatuated with Jessica Wakefield, but she's trying to brush him off. That's not going to stop Jeremy from trying though, even though he's swamped with school activities, sports, and a part-time job that will hopefully improve his family's financial situation.

"If You Only Knew" is the fifth book in the Sweet Valley High: Senior Year series. This is another great addition to the teen romance drama that's been building since the beginning of the school year. Worth reading if you're 12+ and a fan of Francine Pascal's Sweet Valley books.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best So Far..., April 30, 2002
By
Teresa Frampton "Stef" (Michigan, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: If You Only Knew (Sweet Valley High Sr. Year(TM)) (Mass Market Paperback)
I think "If You Only Knew" is the best book in the series so far, even though the "Melissa Loves Will, Will Loves Jessica" thing is getting old. But it's cool that Ken's back.

At the beginning of the book, here's what's happening:

-Conner is confused about Liz.
-Liz is confused about Conner.
-Jeremy thinks Jess hates him.
-Jess thinks Jeremy hates her.
-Maria thinks Conner wants her back.
-Melissa thinks Tia and Jess told on her.
-Will never wants to leave Melissa.

At the end of the book, here's what's happening:

-Conner has kissed Liz again.
-Jeremy has found out about Jessica's reputation and something bad has happened to his father.
-Maria saw Conner and Liz after they kissed and knows something's up.
-Will wants to leave Melissa.

Confused?

5.0 out of 5 stars Tres Bien!!, July 10, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: If You Only Knew (Sweet Valley High Sr. Year(TM)) (Mass Market Paperback)
Firstly,Liz & Conner are so totally crazy about each other and this book starts a real look into the possibility of them getting together!! In the form of a smooching kiss of course... Next, Jeremy finally asks Jess out but at the end.. the book leaves us wondering about what's going to happen. Ken is finally breaking out of his shell.. & Will heistates abt breaking up with the wuss Melissa....AGAIN!! Maria is paranoid and she's pathetic ard Conner.. anyway, i love this book. It's very realistic and exciting. Much better than the old SVH series(though the old was good too) Everybody should start reading from book 1. It's that good! Can't wait for the next few to come out sooner... It just gets better.. THUMBS UP!

5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERING, June 3, 1999

This review is from: If You Only Knew (Sweet Valley High Sr. Year(TM)) (Mass Market Paperback)
After I read this book, i spent the whole night wondering what the next book would be about. Before you read this book, you ask yourself, "Will Marissa ever be taught her lesson? Will Will break up with her? Will Jeremy and Jessica get together? Or Conner and Elizabeth? Some of your questions aren't asnwered, but this book gives you just about everything!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not the best, but close, June 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: If You Only Knew (Sweet Valley High Sr. Year(TM)) (Mass Market Paperback)
I've been reading Sweet Valley books forever. I think the best is yet to come. But this was a good book. I just wish Jessica had friends in the series who would stand by her. Every time someone new enters the picture Lila and Amy desert her for the new person. Sometimes Lila smartens up, but Amy always runs straight to Jessica's enemy. I think Jeremy and Jessica would be good for each other, but they don't exactly have the passion Jessica and Will do. If Will would just get a backbone! I'm glad Conner and Liz got together or whatever, but I think she did it in the wrong way and hurt a very good friend in the process.

I'm waiting for the one where Melissa, Amy, Lila, Cheri, and Gina get theirs to call one the BEST.

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny, romantic, and impressive!, May 19, 1999

This review is from: If You Only Knew (Sweet Valley High Sr. Year(TM)) (Mass Market Paperback)
After my rude awakening from the earthquake of Sweet Valley to the first book in this series, I must admit I wanted the old Sweet Valley back. But after reading this book, I think I've changed my mind. Although the old books are wonderful, half of the first two chapters were spent discussing their differences and similarities (remember "california blonde hair and aqua blue eyes"?)But these new books are more personal and the characters are more well-drawn and have a more real side to them. The journals are a cool, unique way for the characters themselves to say what they feel (and so you know what's going on!) And most importantly, these books proved what I knew all along: Jessica Wakefield isn't really a ditz.

By A Customer
This review is from: If You Only Knew (Sweet Valley High Sr. Year(TM)) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was really good, except maria needs to get over conner because she is just sad and it's getting annoying. I think she and ken should hook up. conner and liz make a really good couple. ever since the 1st book i thought they should hook-up. i think that they will last a long time. and jeremy seems like a really sweet guy.

I think Jeremy is so sweet, so Jessica has made a good choice to like him. If there are up to date readers here, wasn`t it a surprise when Will dumped Melissa? I luv Conner, Will, and Jeremy! I wish I had guys like that in my school!

5.0 out of 5 stars SVH Seinor Year #5 If you Only Knew, November 3, 1999
This review is from: If You Only Knew (Sweet Valley High Sr. Year(TM)) (Mass Market Paperback)
I thought that this book was awesome. It involves heated reationships and twists all while you read it. I myself would have thought it was just a chick flick priss thing but you get so pulled in that you don't care. Jeremy finds the girl of his dreams. She is not like anyone he has ever encountered and will try to not let his hard family life destroy his chance. It also involves many characters and journal entries to really get a sence into what people are thinking. I loved this book and I think that you should pick it up or the rest of the series.
