5.0 out of 5 stars killer death metal man!!
this is without a doubt, one of the best damn death metal bands to come out in a while. awesome musicianship, guitar and drum wise. the lyrics aren't your typical death metal lyrics; they don't talk about satanism or blood n gore (even though i love those types of lyrics too!) but man do these lyrics pack a mean punch! this is without a doubt, one of the best damn death metal bands to come out in a while. awesome musicianship, guitar and drum wise. the lyrics aren't your typical death metal lyrics; they don't talk about satanism or blood n gore (even though i love those types of lyrics too!) but man do these lyrics pack a mean punch! The lyrics are very straight forward dealing with various subjects like the spread of STDS (Shattered by Disease), carelessness (Should I Care?), bullying at school and the result (Outcast), and my personal favorite: a dude's addiction to his porn collection (Addicted to Porn). hahaha! But anyway if you like death metal check these guys out, you won't regret it! Other death metal bands that i think rule: Dying Fetus, Cryptopsy, Nile, Exhumed, Immolation, and Skinless!

5.0 out of 5 stars Only Law is Survival Review, April 21, 2005
This albumn is fast. Fans of metal and hardcore will love this albumn, a lot of hardcore mentality without the breakdowns and such. To say this albumn is fast is actually a bit of an understatment. If Terror was as fast as Deicide or Cannibal Corpse this is what it would sound like.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not another death clone, February 24, 2004
This review is from: Only Law Is Survival (Audio CD)
To anyone that thinks these guys are normal death metal, think again. This is the best grindcore this side of the US. Dave Culross' drumming is better than ever...if you have heard any of his stuff before this makes it that much more worth it. The lyrics are funny and the vocals are awesome. Take my word for it, buy it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Unrelenting onslaught of cacophonous death metal, February 15, 2004
This review is from: Only Law Is Survival (Audio CD)
To cut a long story short, Hateplow is just one of a ubiquitous clan of side projects splintering off in the Sunshine State, this one numbering members that have served time in various regional death metal outfits but have all at one time or another found themselves hammering out tunes for Malevolent Creation. And that band=s not a bad reference point. This isn=t the kind of project where band members step outside the nuclear family to indulge in aural affairs with individuals of divergent interests. No, this is more akin to incest. The only essential difference between the two bands is Hateplow=s emphasis on high octane grind, performed at breakneck speed and, of course, excessive volume.

Efforts of this sort walk a tight rope; one slip, whether it=s mediocre production or an unconvincing singer, and the band slip into the abyss of mediocrity, (hopefully) never to be heard from again. But you have to hand it to Hateplow. All bases loaded, Monsieur Plow up to bat, home f**king run! There is nothing less than devastating during A...Survival@=s half hour of relentless pummeling, just a blinding white rage that seeps into the pores and has you pounding the walls to the sound of involuntary neighborly accompaniment. These guys aren=t play makers, they=re enforcers, willing to throw down at the first available opportunity, and you wonder at the end of the recording session for this album who exactly was left standing.

5.0 out of 5 stars great death metal, September 25, 2002

This malevolent creation with a different bassist and vocalists. This cd came over some issues with modern times, like shatterd by disease. Which is about a guy who gets aids, then has sex with as many women he could to "to shatter their lives by disease". Incarcerated with intent to sell is another great song. Which deals with the band being pulled over caught with some herb.

This cd diserves five stars because it dose.

4.0 out of 5 stars Extremely fast and brutal, December 14, 2001
This review is from: Only Law Is Survival (Audio CD)
This is one of the fastest death metal album I've ever heard. Sustained ultra-fast drumming and lightning fast barking keep the brutality blazing the whole way through (except for perhaps the last song which slows things down a bit). The drummer (ex-Malevolent Creation, who I thought were really fast) makes quick changes in his rhythyms, and is absolutely inhuman when he gets the blast beats going. He is one of my favorite drummers, along with Pete Sandoval, Richard Christy, and Gene Hogan.

Sadly, there are weaknesses here. The bass is indiscernible most of the time (except during mini-bass solos), and even the guitars get swallowed up, in deference to the vocals and percussion. Not that it doesn't work overall, but if you like strong lead guitars or cool solos (a la Trey Azagthoth), this is not the album for you. However, if you want straight brutality and ultra-speed, go buy it immediately!

This is a supurb death-metal outing; I enjoyed each and every song. Among my favorites are: Emotional Catastrophe & Without Weapons. An Excellent cd! Excellent breakdowns, and masterful drum work. I also advise that you check out: Cryptopsy and Shadows Fall- excellent guitar work and dynamic vocals(Two excellent bands!)
