I first heard Nana Mouskouri's angelic voice on a public radio "easy listening" station. "Even Now" was the song, and I was astounded at the range, purity, and feeling in the voice and style. This piece seems the quintessential love song by a singer of it that will never be surpassed. I am thankful to Barry Manilow for writing the song, but Nana Mouskouri is the one who gives it life. I can hardly believe that I only discovered her this late in her career. The variety on the CD is wonderful, but just hearing "Even Now" is a breathtaking experience.

Little can be said about one of the most beautiful voices on earth!I feel priviledged to have seen her perform 4 times here in Greece and everytime I realise what a great artist and person she is!Many compare her with sopranos, mezzos but Nana's voice is unique and very different from opera voices (I am a big opera fan). She can sings all kinds of music from Jazz to Pop, from Classical to Folk and the result is always special enriched with her personal touch.

This is one of her great collections. I especially admire "Only love" , "Even now" and her version of "I have a dream" but the rest are certainly not less wonderful. Bad reviewers: History has proved what a great artist this woman is. You're wasting your time. Music fans with taste:Don't miss this Nana set!

When I first heard this recording, I fell in love with Nana, her golden voice, and her songs. My wife and I have seen in her person, and she is a great entertainer and person. You can hear the love she has come out in this and all her albums. We have two versions, record, and cassette, and we have bought this recording and given it to friends to share her being. There won't be another Nana, ever.

I have loved listening to Nana Mouskouri ever since I first heard her perform on the old "Tonight Show With Johnny Carson" some years ago. (Johnny Carson introduced me to so many great music artists via his television show.)
The title of the album, "The Very Best Of Nana Mouskouri- Only Love" is not inappropriate nor misguiding. However with the extraordinary number of tracks and performances Ms Mouskouri has recorded as a treasure of her musical talent, it is by no means an exhaustive anthology of "her best". So much of what she sings is "her best"!
"Why Worry" certainly ranks high-up on my list of favorite tracks on this collection. There is no comparison to the excellent delivery she brings to "Even Now"!
"Every Time We Say Goodbye" leaves you never wanting to say goodbye to Nana nor to listening to her "melancholy" musical evocation of how love just tugs and pulls and even tears at our hearts. To hear her vocal accompanied by a true Greek Bouzouki makes the Abba song "I Have A Dream" sound exactly the way you had always imagined and "heard" it to be in your mind. It's a truly "magical" sound.
The title of the first track on this album, "Love Changed Everything" gives us a good description of the musical experience that listening to Nana Mouskouri provides: Nana changes everything . . . and for the better!

I first became a fan of Nana Mouskouri's singing almost 30 years ago. She does all her songs perfectly, but my favorites are Loving Arms and Even Now, which by the way was NOT written by Barry Manilow - her website shows that someone named Sakel wrote that song. (Barry wrote a song with the same title, but not the song Nana recorded.) If you haven't heard her CD's, start with this one - you'll want to buy all the others.

Like the reviewer from Waco,TX,I too discovered Nana on radio.The song was "Even Now".I quickly ordered this CD from Amazon and found all the songs pleasing to my ear.However,"Even Now" is worth the price of the disc.The radio sound was good but when I played the songs through a 5 speaker system,WOW!! I don't think you will regret owning this CD.

I am truly amazed and shocked that this singer does not draw the same response from American audiences then she does from the REST of the WORLD! She has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard and delivers her songs with emotion that I rarely feel from other singers. This album is a great collection of English songs (but don't limit yourself to English or you'll miss out on just how versatile this singer is.) I must say I like her version of "Time After Time" as much, if not more than, Cyndi Lauper's and "I Have A Dream" is fantastic! And by the way, don't miss out on the opportunity to see her perform live. As great as her albums are, she's even better in person.

I heard Nana the first time on televison on the radio programs. She made me stop what I was doing to listen. When I saw who she was, I went right to Amazon and looked her up. There was a big selection of CD's of her, so I ordered a couple. I love her very beautiful and unique sound. She is great! This is my favorite CD of her. The song selection is beautiful.

Trust me, my mother loves it;-)

The song "Only Love" is especially heartwarming and destined to a 'best of' for many years. A pure joy throughout this CD.
