4.0 out of 5 stars A Classic Modern Romance!, November 28, 2007
Editor, Author, Publicist (Denver, Colorado) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Satin Sheets (Mass Market Paperback)
A classic modern romance! Michelle and Brad don't want this arranged marriage, but, as usual, allow their parents wishes to prevail. The merging of two important families is not what they had in mind for a future. But as the honeymoon begins, a magic that cannot be denied ignites sparks between them. Constant separations, interference from a female employee and misunderstandings keep them both guessing as to the other's true feelings. With each connection, their romance grows but neither accepts it at face value. This novel is a true page turner, urging the reader onward, hoping for that final crescendo of love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Believe In Love October 27, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's Only Make Believe was great.

Michele and Brad start their relationship off on the wrong foot. They get married to one another in order to save the family businesses. They are friends, but they do not love one another. They agree to be faithful and respect one another for a year to appease their parents. As the story progresses, they feelings that Michele and Brad have from one another change. Michele thinks back to her wedding day and a conversation that she had with Brad's assistant, the assistant has a thing for Brad and tells Michele that the only reason Brad is with Michele is to save the business. Jealousy and long hour leave Michele questioning how she will win the love of her husband. Brad, on the other hand, fell for his wife on the day they got married. He just now has to convince Michele that what they have is real.

Will Michele and Brad learn to trust their feelings for one another or will they end their marriage at the year mark? Can love come out of a friendship?

Give this story a try and see what happens to Michele and Brad. Their story is worth your time. You will not be disappointed with the time you spend on this story.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's Only Make Believe October 26, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is truly a good HEA. I liked that it had just enough angst to make it believable and the OW vile. The story line is about those who have money and how the parents decide who they will marry. It's about two people who grew up around each other, not run in the same crowd. The parents work together and want the company to stay with in the families. This is a sweet story of what happens when there is a spark there. I look forward to other work by this author.

The characters were all very likeable, but the story was not really believeable. However, it was a quick and fun read to fill the time for an afternoon.

4.0 out of 5 stars good story December 3, 2013
By Bozclan
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I liked the main characters and the story. Michele's and Brad's families have been friends for decades. Their parents want them to marry and find a way to force them to comply. Of course, being a love story, they do fall in love.
The only issue I had was with Brad, wondering why he was so willing to be away from his bride so often, for such lenghths of time. Not sure most women would have hung in there as long as Michele did, when Brad finally figured a few things out.

5.0 out of 5 stars A marriage meant to be November 11, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Michele married her friend Brad not because she loved him but because her and his parents made them. He was always gone on business trips with his assistant Ruby. Michele knew they were having an affair she thought all the signs were there. Michele got pregnant and didn't know what to do. She only had a year to go along with this charade and then she could leave. Can this be true love ?

More About the Author

Roseanne grew up reading Nancy Drew mysteries and soon moved on to Victoria Holt and Phyllis Whitney. She's also a big fan of Agatha Christie and Nora Roberts, and always loved making up her own stories and writing.
While working as a school secretary, her fellow employees encouraged her to take a correspondence course, writing for children. It didn't take long to realize it took someone special to write children's books. That's when she moved on to romance novels. Her stories sat in the attic with her poems and journals for years.
In 2002 at a Book Club meeting, she confessed her regret at not pursuing a writing career. That's all it took. They convinced her it wasn't too late. After giving it some thought, she decided to take another writing course. Within a few months, her first article was published in Good Old Days Magazine and she's had articles published in several magazines.
Roseanne's first book, Satin Sheets, was published 2006. Since then, she's decided to go the way of E-books. She writes various types of romance - paranormal, contemporary and mystery. Her heroines range from early twenties to late seventies. Yes, seniors need love, too.
Roseanne lives with her husband of more than fifty years, has six grown children, fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. . Between writing, quilting, and embroidering, she also enjoys blogging, tweeting, facebooking, and posting on various writers' groups. Her favorite time is spent with her family.
Roseanne participates in Kindlegraph, so if you'd like an autograph for an E-book, go to her page at: to request it.
