I stumbled upon Biffy Clyro entirely by chance thanks to their song playing in the trailer for Charlie St. Cloud. After a little searching, I came upon this album. Only Revolutions is chock full of big hooks and clever lyrics, with song like 'Many of Horror' and 'The Captain' leading the way. However, I think it was put together a bit slap dash and there are tracks that just don't seem to belong. The pacing of the album is a bit thrown off, as can be seen in between 'Mountains' and 'Many of Horror'. Two great songs with huge emotion end up sandwiching the terrible and out of place 'Shock Shock'. The album has some incredible and honest music, but it feels like they might have missed out on an even better, cohesive experience.
