The Soul Survivor's great MCA tenure holds well.,

With the jams "I Wish He Wouldn't Trust Me So Much", "Let Me Kiss It Where It Hurts", "When The Weekend Comes" "I'll Still Be Looking Up To You", this Womack Collection packs a Soul wallop that one would be hardpressed to find in boxed-sets of other artists. This is one to get, and one to keep.

Bobby gives us the Womack magic on this set. His version of the Only Survivor is chilling. Let me Kiss It Where It Hurts and No Matter How High I Get are awesome. That's Where It's At is a favorite. I'm just a fan of the man.

I bought this album when it was first released back in the 70's. But it was lost in a move I liked it so much that I had to replace it. The Soulful sound of Bobby Womack, along with Welton Felder is a sound that can not be supassed by anyone in this era.

A "Soul Survivor" indeed.,

During the mid-1980s Bobby Womack was signed to MCA Records. His 1985 and 1986 releases ("So Many Rivers" and "Womagic") were both superb albums which deserve to be reissued on CD. Nonetheless, this is a great compilation of a prolific--if lesser-known-- period of Bobby's impressive career.
