Product Description

About the Artist

Only Tools and Corpses is the long awaited second album from UK Gore Heroes GOREROTTED. If you thought "Mutilated in Minutes" was gonna be hard to follow up then just you wait.

The direction of the band is in full force now with Mr. Gore's "Cockney Oi" vocals playing off perfectly against Goreskins "deep, grindcore slabs of throat" and Wilson's high pitched backing vocals that give GOREROTTED their own unique sound. This is a form of splatter/grind/death Metal with a crusty, punk edge that could only come out of the downtrodden slums of London. Just like "Mutilated in Minutes", you won't find an album filler lurking here. "Only Tools and Corpses" is a 9-song assault on the senses. A ride of intense brutality that will leave your adrenaline pumping and your blood racing.

The album was recorded and mixed at the UK's renowned Philia Studios in Oct/Nov 2002. It was engineered and produced by top soundman Dave Chang and mastered at Turan Audio. Therefore, it has an excellent production that meets the quality of any of the world's top extreme metal bands.

Hopefully he can do it just as well, 'cuz I really enjoy this pair.

Every song is now different from every song on the cd but at the same time exactly alike, and the songs are truly brutal to say the least.

The only band that i've consider to come close to cannibal corpse's sound is the guys from gorerotted.

Gorerotteds first cd was infiltrating to the senses but their new cd takes those senses and hacks them to bits. Every song is now different from every song on the cd but at the same time exactly alike, and the songs are truly brutal to say the least. Never before have I heard such an awesome album not to mention that it is only their second cd and they have already perfected their own unique sound. This is a must buy!!!

Gorerotted are the kings of the modern U.K. goregrind scene and this album truly shows why. Fast paced, brutal songs with hilarious lyrics and vocal stylings make this whole album a half hour of pure gorey fun. There is a two vocalist assault, and these two men make some of the sickest sounds ever recorded on album. The vocalists go from a puking sound, to a burping sound, to a growl, to a high pitched yell/scream, really it is the vocals that make this band king. The lyrics are just extremely over the top, and pretty much everything about this band is over the top. Gorerotted never gets brutal just for the sake of getting brutal though, these are 9 songs of pure gore grinding sickness and madness. Gorerotted is definitely not the most brutal goregrind band, but they are one of the most creative and talented goregrind bands for sure.

Gorerotted are one of the most impressive bands you will currently find on the metal scene. Complete with gorey lyrics and ridiculously funny song titles, Gorerotted back up their funny attitude with some REAL musicianship, an area where extremists such as Mortician and other such bands fall flat. Firsty, there's the amazing duel vocal assualt Mr.Gore (ultra, ultra deep death vocals) and Goreskin, who has a mad distinguishable, heavily english accented high pitched scream. It gives the music a feel too.... To me I imagine dark, dripping 19th century underworld torture chambers. Also worth mentioning, Mr.Gore has left the band but has not been replaced, The Wilson (bass) taking over on his behalf for the vocals. Hopefully he can do it just as well, 'cuz I really enjoy this pair.

The Wilson is an awesome bassist, he can do just about anything and really puts some inventive stuff through the mix that can be well heard... yes great production as well!

Whilst being very heavy, Fluffy and Robin Pants are ultra tight guitarists, they write some freakin sick rhythms and great leads. I really love the solos too, although they are few.

Junky John Rushforth is an awesome drummer, he changes times perfectly and keeps things very interesting, one of the more inventive drummers and definitely one of the more skilled. He plays some VERY fast double bass and can blastbeat the pants of just about anyone around these days (except for maybe Flo Mournier and Derek Roddy)!

To describe the music, I would say it's a combination of grind, extreme punk and hardcore death metal... Of course its hella brutal! Time changes, memorable songs and addictive riffs make sure it's something very hard to say negative things about.

The only band that i've consider to come close to cannibal corpse's sound is the guys from gorerotted. I've bought their previous album called "mutilated in minutes" and let me tell you ? It's an masterpiece! Now, we have their latest work "only tools & corpses" i admit i wasnt sure if i would get the same great sound as in "multilate in minutes" but insted i got an even better sound i might add--all the songs are well produced & good quality fast along with brutal music all in one right here. If you love extreme deathmetal this is for you but if you got a weak stomach and likes horrible & poser/fake bands such as linkin park, korn, limp bizkit, deftones, soulfly, kittie, slipknot, good charlotte,blink182 etc,, all the p**y and gay pop mainstream bands stay away from gorerotted! This is only for true metal heads out there, okay ?!

Wow, now these guys should write a splatter film!!! It'd be the sickest, funniest, and most disturbing horror film ever made. Heck for moments I thought I was literally listening to the undead talking about there hobbies! If you like heavy, brutal, and sick music, then this is the band for you. They knock the pants off Cannibal Corpse. Deathgrind has come along way in terms of brutality since Carcass, and these guys are probably the best. The best being Vomitorial Corpulence in my oppinion. Oh and the vocals really set Gorerotted apart from other Deathgrind bands. One sounds like a crust punk scream and the other sounds like the lead for Regurgitate. All in all, if you're a sick who likes loud music, then this is the band for you.

This album is possibly one of the greatest gore metal albums I've ever encountered. You can say that they're goregrind, as they do have a definite grindcore influence along with their brutal death metal, but this isn't a disc you'll get bored of after just a few songs. Nope, this is pure brilliance.

The dual vocal assault of Ben Rotted and Mr. Gore is one of the standouts on this CD. The vocal range is what really got me into this band, from growls to higher pitched screaming. Every member of this band does their part well. The lyrics, well, they're repulsive to many, but pleasing to few, like me.

Favorite tracks: All of them! You won't get bored with this if you want over-the-top, genuine gore fun.
