There's a very interesting story behind ONLY US. On April 1, 2010, we celebrated April Fool's Gold Day on my Facebook page. At that time, none of the Fool's Gold books had been released yet, but my fans were happy to celebrate, anyway. (I love that about you!) I invited fans to create a character who would have a speaking role in a future Fool's Gold book. I honestly thought that I would give the character only a walk-on part, but the character they created - Cameron McKenzie, the new Fool's Gold veterinarian - turned out to be so intriguing that I had to write a book for him.

We started with nothing. Fans voted on the character's gender, age, occupation, back story, name... and they even gave Cameron an adorable daughter named Kaitlyn and a dog named Noah. Noah is a girl, by the way - yep, my fans came up with that, too!

Another Fool's Gold Hit!! This Sweet Holiday Novella gives us a look intot he life of Cameron, our very handsome Vet, and his "Friend" Rina, the pet groomer.

Rina has been in love with Cameron since the first day she saw him a year ago, but the love she has for his daughter is special to Rina and she doesn't want to do anything to threaten their relationship, so she knows that she can't tell Cameron that she is in love with him. Then she gains the courage on night to tell him the truth and things don't end up exactly how she planned. Will these two end up together in time for Christmas?? I think you will have to read the book to find out!!

This was a quick read for me. The story took us on a sleigh ride of friendship, love, heartbreak and overcoming fear. It is a sweet, little Holiday read that will warm your heart. A little hit chocolate for the soul, as only Susan Mallery can do! Enjoy!!

It's so good to be back in Fools Gold and catch up with people! Only Us is a charming story, warm and romantic. Love the Christmas pet adoption idea, although I'm glad they didn't decorate the iguana! This novella might just be the perfect pre-Christmas escape.

Susan Mallery has proven yet again that if you mix interesting characters with an exciting romance, throw in some family dynamics, and stir gently, you will have a story that will not only touch the heart, but, warm your soul. I love the strong characters who live in Fool's Gold. You will too. I read my first book out of order, and then had to go back and read ALL of them from the beginning, as I wanted to know the full story about the many ongoing story lines. You can't go wrong with this series.
