Not bad,

I would call it an average effort by the German cinema genius and put it next to his lesser achievements,like "Despair","Satan's Brew","Fear of Fear","Lily Marleen" and some earlier films.It never comes close to his best movies - "Fox and His Friends","Chinese Roulete","Mother Custers Goes to Heaven","The Merchant of Four Seasons","The Stationmaster's Wife","In a Year 13 Moons","Veronika Foss".
