5.0 out of 5 stars NOW THIS IS A DANCE SONG!
Deborahs vocals shine up this little techno number to classic proportions. "Only Words" can describe a song that definitely did not receive the radio attention it should of got....Deborah your day in pop music will come again soon. You hit Billboards Top 40 Club Play with this song, that means more to come soon.....Deborah your the bomb!

3.0 out of 5 stars Deb's techo debut.
This remix set is fine yet not fierce and isn't as well done as her 1998 mixes if "Only In My Dreams". The song here is a pleasant enough song as are the mixes. I would suggest this only for die-hards and definetly not for techno fans and the like. They should check out Madonna's import "Substiute for love" c.d. single.

4.0 out of 5 stars Words are cheap: Deborah delivers more than just words., July 29, 1998

Deborah Gibson revamps her self-penned pop tune to a fierce and fiery dance tune. Be ready for a techno-fest of sounds and sights as Deborah sings and twirls through this fast-paced anthem. Remixes by Strobe and Junior Vasquez! Deborah Gibson proves herself a true dance diva as her action speaks louder than words.

A great dance techno wonder....Deborah shows even after 10 years she can still hit the Billboard Charts with this little number. A definite buy! Also look out shes back with a new album sometime this year, she is already getting fantastic airplay with her latest single "What You Want", and is already in the Top 20 request line at KRBE a top pop radio station in Houston.

YOU GO GIRL!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! This is Debbie Gibson?, June 1, 1999

Deborah lights up the dance floor once again with such a techno dance driven extravaganza. I can't believe this is the same girl who gave us "Shake Your Love" and "Electric Youth". Deborah has grown up into a fine singer, and her voice seems very much fine tuned from years past. Way to go Deborah!

5.0 out of 5 stars DEBORAH SHINE AS TECHNO QUEEN FOR THE NEW MILLENIUM., May 26, 1999
This review is from: Only Words (Maxi Single) (Audio CD)
Deborah finally hit the billboard charts again with this dance ditty "Only Words", the first time since 1993 with "Losin' Myself" another under appreciated single. Deborah who is a very talented and gifted singer and songwriter is so negatively received by the music industry that I feel pity for such a talented singer...Deborah there just jealous! You continue and again you will be on top where you belong! You go girl!

I knew she would come back bigger and better. Watch out she's not 16 anymore. She took timeout for herself and now is showing the critics what it is all about. You go girl. You will always be #1 in my heart.

Deborah hit the TOP 40 Club Play on Billboard a year or so ago with this wonderfully constructed dance number. With great beats and great vocals, Deborah you are definitely on your way back to the Dance Pop Scene where you once came.
