This book takes you into the forced relationship between a mayor's daughter, Prudence, and an NFL player, Michael "Speed" Hunter. Prudence had just gone through a very public break-up with her ex and the media put her and her family through the ringer. Just when she thought things cooled off, her comes Michael Hunter and the media. Prudence let's Micheal have it in front of the media, and the media, spins the spat out of control. Prudence and Micheal end up in a media enduced relationship that turns real. On top of them fighting their feelings and the media, Prudence has another major issue to deal with that puts her in danger. Great story that ties Sports, Politics, and Romance all together!!

The impact of fame, greed and politics on love..., August 25, 2005
This review is from: Only You (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
In "Only You", author Celeste Norfleet brings together NFL star and media-magnet Michael "Speed" Hunter with politician's daughter and media-shy Prudence Washington. Having been burned previously by the media as a pawn in her father's reelection campaigns, Prudence takes a fast disliking to Michael Hunter when he shows up to help at Prudence's local church Thanksgiving Day dinner with a following of journalists. Prudence immediately pegs Michael as a spoiled, self-centered celebrity and determines to fit her physical attraction to him mightily.
Michael is not put off so easily by Prudence's cold shoulder however. The story develops into a lively expedition as we follow Michael's pursuit of Prudence and her simultaneous attraction/repulsion reaction.
To add to the drama of the romantic leads, a good deal of intrigue is introduced through shady characters seeking to use either Michael's celebrity or Prudence's political ties for personal gain.
This was an interesting story with lots of chemistry between the main characters.
