Underrated hidden talent, January 10, 2009
I'm done with network television talent shows such as American Idol. Youtube is the place to find under-appreciated talent. Only You is an enjoyable album with Jason Mraz-esque sound that's very well done despite not being a backed by a major label. Never mind David Archuleta and David Cook, David Choi is the David you should listen to. Absolute thumbs up for this album!!

A unique voice and a special sound, April 22, 2009
Most likely if you have stumbled upon this review, you know who David Choi is. If you have no idea, check him out at www.youtube.com/davidchoimusic. Just 2 years ago, David was just a young Asian American breaking stereotypes, with a passion working as a song writer/music producer in California. In his free time, he made home-made videos for youtube, as he put it to "inspire, entertain, educate, and inform." He's a goofy, talented, friendly guy who cares about his friends and his fans. He's a humble, incredibly talented musician, that over a short period of time, has become one "youtube celebrity." As his acoustic session videos became more and more popular, his fan base grew more and more. Everyone kept wondering, "how does this guy not have a record contract?" Finally, early last year, David released this album at his fans' demand, and a great one it is. I will always love David's quirky originals like "The Youtube song", but this album also has a wonderful collection of his original songs. I highly recommend it. If you aren't familiar with him yet, I recommend that not only you buy this album, but also check out his youtube page and get to know him, just one dedicated and talented musician and a silly friendly person.
If you like Jason Mraz, Jason Reeves, Blues music, Frank Sinatra, pop music, Colbie Caillat, you will like this artist and album.

Heartfelt album, February 8, 2009
"Won't Even Start" is one of my favorite tracks on this album and I find myself personally relating to many of David's songs. I love the simplicity of his music with his voice being the primary instrument that carries throughout the album. Nothing fancy, just easy listening crooning with a real sense of rawness and talent. Very heartfelt album and highly recommended.
