Only a single disc release on Blu ray?

Just curious if anyone has heard if they plan to double dip this later on as popular as it was this past year, seeing how this one so far seems pretty bare bones. It would seem they would have a lot of behind the scenes material to use, and more archival footage to add with it being the 50th anniversary (yes, I already have the Bond 50 Blu ray). Just a single Blu ray release seems a bit disappointing for such a top notch film.

You say you own the "Bond 50" Blu-Ray set. If so, then you should know that each single disc has as much or more material than all of the previous multi-disc DVD's. It's not rocket science; Blu-Rays hold more. A lot more.

Casino royale and quatum of solace both have at least 2 versions out. Casino royale got a pretty big double dip with special features.
But with skyfall, there may possibly be a 2nd blu-ray to come out. But because of the aspect ratio. The movie was filmed with imax in mind. Just not filmed in imax. Now, the imax release was cropped, and wasn't cropped at the same time. The easiest way to explain this, is to go and find hd footage of skyfall from the jay leno show. It keeps switching between 2:40:1 to an imax suited aspect ratio. Jarringly so. Do some research, and you'll see most people say imax boosts skyfall image by 26%. Not quite, but on some scenes? It does. I see there being some outcry after the initial releases, because 2:40:1 is not the entire movie original ratio. I see there being a limited release for people wanting, essentially, the entire movie. Nothing for sure, but I'm hopeful.

I'm more put off by the fact that the listing says it doesn't have any special feature. If it has the same sort of special features all on the same disc like the rest of Bond 50 set, that's perfect for me, but I hate the idea of not getting any. Hopefully the listing here is just inaccurate.

Well, per on the special features:
The big release news today is that Fox, MGM and Sony have finally officially announced Skyfall for Blu-ray and DVD release on 2/12. The DVD will include 4 Shooting Bond webisode featurettes (The Title Sequence, DB5, Women and Locations). The Blu-ray will include those, plus 10 more Shooting Bond webisode featurettes (Intro, Opening Sequence, 007, Q, Villains, Action, Music, End Sequence, M and The Future), an additional Skyfall Premiere featurette, 2 audio commentaries (one with director Sam Mendes and another with producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and production designer Dennis Gassner) and the theatrical trailer. It's a shame that the recent Epix Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007 documentary isn't included somehow, but with any luck it will be released separately on disc at some point. It just came out on DVD in the U.K., but here in the States it seems to be a streaming only release for the time being.

I really wish there was more than that. I get the feeling there will be a couble dip on this one, considering how well it has done. And they might even go back and double dip Quantum of Solace as well to feed of the success of Skyfall.

um, the pic of the disc itself says it's a blu ray, dvd and digital copy, look at the top. seems like the listing is wrong. other outlets have it marketed as a 2 disc set with blu ray and dvd both provided.

The Amazon listing is definitely inaccurate. I find it usually is, unfortunately. When I've reported corrections to Amazon (with maximum effort), they don't get published even after many weeks. Here we go again. Fortunately, there are more reliable sources like, digital bits, hidefdigest... This does indeed seem to be a 2-disc set with Blu-ray and DVD. Also Ultraviolet.

Picked mine up at Wal-Mart. Turns out there is also a single disc BR release. While I know there's the combo pack available I need to know if the single disc BR is bare bones or if it has the special features on it. The case made no mention of special features and I don't have a BR player at my current location.

If there aren't any special features on the disc then I'll be returning it since I'm not paying $20 for a bare bones disc when the combo pack is $20 elsewhere. I'd advise folks to double check what they are buying as well as I once again seem to have fallen for the word of an employee that had no idea what they were talking about (kinda my own fault but still....guy claimed it was the only box they received for Skyfall)

Just received mine today (pre-ordered from Amazon) - it is a Blu-ray disc with special features, a DVD disc including a digital copy to download through iTunes, and the option to add it to your Ultraviolet account (and link through Vudu/Flixster, etc.)

The Wal mart edition is bare bones (the single disc edition)

Walmart carries both the Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy and Single Blu-Ray edition.

The $18.96 edition in store is the same Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy edition as in Best Buy and Amazon. I picked up mine last night.

Does the DVD or Blu-Ray of this fantastic film include deleted scenes? I read that 10-15 minutes of footage was cut due to the already long running time.
