Poor Detail for Wading Angler,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: River Journal: North Platt, CO (Paperback)
The author is a relatively wealthy guy who typically drifts the river because it is of little help to the wading angler. There is almost no info about wading when he mentions the access points. If you buy the book, be sure and download the Recreational Map of the North Platt River Area and the access maps from the State Fish and Wildlife Department, which, unfortunately, are listed alphabetically by cite name rather than by sections starting at the headwaters. You have to open almost every map to see if it's where you plan to fish! Reading the book while looking at the maps makes the book more helpful. Although the book has some wonderful photographs, books should be judged by what you learn rather than what you see.

This review is from: Ontario Blue-Ribbon Fly Fishing Guide (Blue-Ribbon Fly Fishing Guides) (Paperback)
This is simply a great book. The photographs make it worth the money alone. If you ever are travelling to Ontario for whatever reason, make sure you bring your fly rod and a copy of this book. There is good fishing to be had everywhere, from Kenora to Ottawa and everywhere in between.
