Product Description

Easy to use, easy to clean, this "low tech" food processor chops, minces, slices and dices. Use it for fruit, veggies, nuts, egg salad, even ice! It's faster than a knife and less complicated than a processor, not to mention less expensive.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dull Dull Blades, February 7, 2005

This review is from: Ontel Chop Mate Chopper (Kitchen)
A friend of mine had a similar chopper from a expensive kitchen supplies store and it worked well. I bought "Quick Chop" and was extensively dissappointed. The blades so dull you have to slam the handle down to get it to cut anything. These choppers can be nifty, but go to a kitchen supply store and fork out the 25 bucks if you want one to work.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, April 17, 2006

I haven't used any more expensive choppers to compare this to, but I've noticed I really have to slam on this one to get it to do much chopping- the blade was pretty dull from the start. It's not as easy to clean as they advertise- if you just wanted to clean one piece, the whole thing pops apart. I don't use it too often because of the cleaning, but it is more convenient to use than my mini-food processor for small jobs, and faster at mincing than a knife.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dull blade!, February 23, 2003
This review is from: Ontel Chop Mate Chopper (Kitchen)
I bought this thinking it would be perfect for making salsa. On the first of 3 tomatoes, I put one half in the unit and it chopped it perfectly, on the next half it partially chopped the tomato. By the time I moved on to the second tomato the blades were competely dull, half of the tomato had worked it's way up inside the unit and it had mangled the tomato beyond recognition. This product is an absolute joke and not worth the money. It went back to the store three hours after I bought it and I will be purchasing the same item from Williams Sonoma for $10 more that I know is a quality product. In this case you don't get what you pay for, you get less
