I am a big fan of Army Wives and loved Seasons 1-5.
Season 6, however, has fallen very flat.
Not only is Pamela gone (the actress left the show) but Claudia Joy is also gone.
With no explanation from Lifetime about where Kim Delaney is or acknowledgement that she won't be back.
The new characters brought on to fill in the missing pieces have not cut it.
Jackie and her story line are not interesting.
Neither is Gloria's story line.
Roland and Joan were much more interesting before they had kids.
Now all their plot lines are kid focused.
Poor Michael has been reduced to a recurring character since there is no Claudia Joy.
The show just isn't what it used to be and I won't be a bit surprised if it does
not return for a 7th Season.

This whole season was spectacular! I am by far not a cryer when it comes to shows or movies, but this show has moved me to tears more than once. Sad tears and happy tears. The shows delve into issues that our military families are actually dealing with.

Here comes the cast overhaul. Seems like they do this to EVERY show that lasts longer then 3 seasons. One by one the starting cast disappears. First Pam and her family ,then Claudia Joy becomes a occasional charactor ( name mentions mostly ) , now off with Roxy and her family. I know Claudia Joy is going to die. Thus of the orginal cast ( Claudia , Denise , Pam , Roland and Roxy ) or group we are left with Denise and Roland. Yes I know it is a show about the Army, so they are suppossed to leave but the group was what made it such a compelling watch. They are trying to replace the group dynamic with new faces that have similar personalities but these actors just don't have it. The story lines also kinda got old, really feeling like rehashing the same plot points from seasons 1 and 2. I will hang in there for season 7 but am not really hopeful.

I have enjoyed the series very much from the first season, I usually watch while I'm on the treadmill. Now, all of the sudden, it is no longer prime. $1.99 an episode, what happened? I was halfway through season 6 when this happened. So sad. Why am I paying g prime?

we started watching this by mistake some of the people at work recommended it so we gave it a try - well worth it, The last season was not as good as some of the earlier seasons but still well worth our time in watching it. Go Army!!

I really like Army wives...it is informative for non-military people how families endure being military families when their spouses are deplored.. everyday life challenges and being away from their families.

I gave this 4 out of 5 stars because I felt like the writers were running out of fresh ideas and grasping at straws in some episodes.

However, I still love the characters and the show.

I've watched the show for years and have become involved with the characters. Was sorry some of the main characters left but it is still entertaining and family oriented.
