The Opalescence 35% is the real deal and really works extremely well. I used the Zoom whitening system before and the Opalescence whitens much better. I just want to caution anyone who purchases the Opalescence 35% to be careful to follow the instructions and be careful not to place too much of this product in the trays or it will burn your gums and the pain is pretty intense. If you just place a small drop for every tooth it works amazing without any pain whatsoever.

Expired... Buyer beware November 3, 2011

I've bought 35% Opalescence many times from my dentist and never had a problem. This stuff was awful, it's the old packaging and out-dated. It instantly started to burn my gums the moment I tried it.( almost felt like it was bubbling on my gums like acid) I took it to my dentist and he said that it's old and I need to trash it.

Also, they advertise the newer packaging in the ad, but I was mailed the older packaging from many years ago. I'm not sure how these people get a hold of a older product and then peddle it through Amazon like this? I don't write reviews very often, but I really felt the need to warn people about this stuff. Good luck.

I've whitening my with other products 16% to 20%. This was too strong I couldn't leave it in for long, burned my gums. I have strong teeth and have never had this problem before.
